The problem with the import files from an external drive

Hello I have a problem with that as working with  external drive is connected to my laptop . import files from external drive to the premier pro and audio is not imported. The problem disappears when the earlier files will be copied to the hard drive of my laptop and then imported into premier pro - the sound is imported

Are you importing using the Media Browser or with File > Import?

i have the same problem. i am using the media explorer and wont come from my phone but will from the pc. only imports as audio but the file plays as normal when i open it from the file folder

use Handbrake to convert your media to constant frame rate and import it again and see.
