The Slider on effects controls premiere pro aren't working

1. I've just got a new mac and updated premiere and the effects slider controls don't worked they act like I'm trying to write in the value and the color selector tool I have to hold down on the mouse the entire time until I get to my selection. I Also have trouble moving the the volume on audio files. Its really slowing me down on work. Please help.

Have you reset your preferences, the usual first step when Premiere acts unexpectedly?

Yeah I tired that then tried reinstalling. i will try again but didn't work
the first time

I tried resetting my preferences the problem remains any other ideas?

Figured it out I had enable mouse keys and that caused the problem. You
just go into accessibility in system preferences and then head to mouse and
track pad and turn off enable mouse keys feature.
