The Updated Transcription Tool is Massive Overkill
Greetings,
I have noticed Premiere Pro has an update for the transcription tool and I must say, it is rather overbearing. Now the tool targets the source file. This may seem like a good thing, but when you have four timeline/sequences open at the same time, Premiere is targeting the clips from the source file and performing a transcription—in all four—at the same time. This causes the transcription tool to reach into timelines that is should not be working in.
I have even used in/out points in a singluar timeline to target only 10 minutes worth of clip, but yet, the transcription tool targets the ENTIRE two hours of a single take, and yes, in all four timelines (or how many you may have open).
Unless I am missing something here, this is rather excessive, where the transcription tool is massively overreaching into other timelines, and the full extent of the source file, rather then simply targeting 10 minutes worth of a clip, even when it is trimmed in the targeted timeline.
Furthermore, this overreach may also effect some shortcut key funtionality in other timelines (where no transcription should be taking place at all).
Does anybody know how I can specifically narrow down the targeting of the transcription tool to avoid Premiere dropping a nuke on the entire project?
Thank you for any help.
