Timeline Lag

I run a 64GB win10 i9 9900K computer with premiere 2019 and 2020. A Geforce 1070 is installed w latest updates.

Filmed material is Canon Eos Mark III .mov files.

It lags 5-20 sec before i get an preview image to even show on the timeline, its set to 1/2 resolution. And then more to run the playerhead.

Ive done this;

"First, find where your cache, cache database, and preview files are located on disc ... close Pr ... delete everything in those folders. Relaunch Pr, see if after rebuilding it works better.

If that doesn't work, create a new project, and in Media Browser in Pr, navigate to the old project file, import it."

It did not help.

What do you have for drives on the computer? And the Canon footage, is that HD, 4K? The more detail you can provide on the workflow the better
