Timeline out of order when project is opened from external drive

I keep having this issue with premiere pro where I'll transfer my project folder to my external drive to save space and everytime I open the project from the external drive the whole sequence is out of order and some clips keep repeating. Thanks for any help or advice in advance 👍

This is a known issue at this point. Relinking is being messy. The devs are hopefully working on it.

Please check this thread for a quick workaround until the bug is resolved. And please upvote the bug report (top left corner) so it gets more traction.

if you are going to move projects around, in media cache in preferences make sure you have the save .cfa box selected then all files should link.

I had similar problem to you, relinking all messed up because some of the clips were named the same?  hope this helps
