Track select forward tool bug in v25

Community Beginner ,
Oct 23, 2024 Oct 23, 2024

I have an issue with "track select forward tool" in versions above 24.2.1
While working with  Sony mxf (OP-1a) files when I'm trying to move my whole timeline to the right,  Premiere freezes for about 20 seconds, and then moves the timeline, but  then I see "the blue wheel of death" for another 20-30 seconds and then when the wheel dissapears - it's all good.
But imagine trying to move the timeline multiple times.

My sequence settings are in the attachment.
All Premiere versions above 24.2.1. have this bug.

Hi @Indeed_79 ,
Thanks so much for your report.  Sorry you are having issues.  Does this happen with just the track selector tool or does it also happen if you move clips with the mouse?
Best,
Rach

Hi @Indeed_79 ,

I have not been able to reproduce this issue.  Are you still having it?  Are you able to send a screen recording of the issue?
Thanks,

Hello 🙂
Here's my report:

  • Issue - I'm having problems with moving the whole timeline in both directions (Premiere Pro versions above 24.2.1 which is fine)
  • Adobe Premiere Pro version number: 25.0
  • Operating system - Windows 11 22H2
  • System Info: CPU, GPU, RAM, HD:
    • CPU: Intel I7 11700K

    • GPU: Intel ARC A770 16GB
      GPU driver (PC): 32.0.101.6129

    • RAM: 64GB

    • Hard Drive (and, if external, how the drive is connected: USB 3, Thunderbolt, NAS, etc.).
My main disc is 500GB Samsung SSD where Windows and all of the programs are
Premiere cache is on another SSD which is Adata Gammix S11 Pro 1TB
and all the media I'm working with are on QNAP NAS TVS 871T which is connected to the PC with a 10GBE network

  • Video format: I'm not sure about the cameras, but I think they are Sony FX7 and FX9 models (TV project)
As for the files, they are
    MXF OP-1a
High 4:2:2 Intra L4.1 with BT709 colour included
    25fps, 1920x1080

  • Workflow details
It's a multicam sequence (4 cams) with 8 lavalier audio tracks attached in each
The whole project is about 44 mins long which includes a lot of multicam sequences
When I'm trying to move the whole timeline to the right or to the left whole Premiere hangs for about 30secs, then the timeline is moved, but then I see the blue waiting wheel for about 20,30 secs and when it dissapears all is ok
  • Steps to reproduce - pls try Premiere Pro ver 2.4.2.1 - where everything is ok 🙂
  • Expected result - as in Premiere Pro 2.4.2.1  - timeline is moving instantly
  • Actual result -  A lot of waiting for timeline to move
