Hello ! Like to share problems with the new update and hopefully find a solution. I have a Mac M1 Max, Ventura Version 13.4, CPU with 10 cores and GPU with 24 cores - 32GB RAM - 1000GB SSD. I use external ssd like samsung 5TO etc. So I have a good computer and relative fast hard drives. Yesterday I opened a project I started in the 2024 version, and Adobe asked if I wanted to open it in the new version since it had updated itself. I approved and since my project been bugging sooo much and I need to render after every little changement. I tried working again in the 2024 version but I didn't see that much difference.... What should I do ?? Or is somebody else having these problems ? For now it's impossible to advance on my projects in a normal working pace...

I too want to jump on your bandwagon.....I cannot believe the absolute chaos your (Adobe) new 2025 programs have caused at our print shop. Nothing works as it did before which was pretty much geared toward fast and easy outputting whether digitally or to the plate maker for the pressman. Now to do anything takes absolutely forever and I am considering deleting this upgrade and reinstalling the 2024 versions again. How could you release something that was not tested well!!

It's absoultely insane... I'm trying to finish different work for my clients and it's taking me million of years... I'm having to work over because I'm just rendering all the time. I uninstalled it and gonna go back to 2024 but for now I'm seeing the same problems in the 2024 version...

Did you dump all your cache files? If not, do.
On launch, hold down the Shift key, select dump or clear cache files.

Coukd you please explain more. I still have projects not finished so i cant delete everything... but is this for the 2024 version ?

Yes, you can delete all the cache files, Premiere rebuilds them as needed.
And you do not want 24.x cache files being used in a 25.x project.

But I don't want to use the 2025 since it's been bugging so much...? Also what is a cahche file ? It's a part from the project file ?

Cache files are what the program creates as mostly temporary ... internal notes, you might call them. They are 'built' from the various options and parameters of settings on clips and sequences.
So they don't store anything that is 'crucial', just working notes. Dump them, Premiere simply recreates them as they are needed. And yes, you want to dump them routinely.
And past that, if you didn't dump them when starting up 25.x for the first time, that is a likely cause of the issues with 25.
So dump cache files, and try a new project in 25. If you still have issues, close, and when launching 24, dump cache files also.

Thank you so much for taking your time and explaining ! So if I understood correctly when I launch 25 version I hold down shift ? The thing that is weird is that I only have one project that's bugging the rest are working as usual so I don't know if it's the transfer that didn't work in this project or if it's something else...

Yes, hold down shift while launching Premiere. Select the option for deleting cache files.
And as to that one project, project files are simply massive text documents listing all properties and actions taken in that project. So sometimes project files get some "corruption" ... it can be simply one text character wrong ... and it's bonked.
You can try creating a new project, the use the Media browser to select (highlight) the other project file. Then import the sequences from that other project file. Most of us do this one sequence at a time. Sometimes the entire set of sequences imports 'clean' and workable. Sometimes you find that one sequence is corrupt.
So you then need to rebuild the one sequence.
And the above works most of the time but not always, of course.

Jumping in kind of late but having a lot of issues in 2025...I just bought a brand new macbook pro and all of my programs have been running so slow. My computer is m4 pro so its not the computer and shouldnt be having any issues. Is anyone else having issues with programs running super slow?

Some clearly are, though many are doing fine. Something there to sort it seems like.
What storage, media, effects, and general workflow do you run? Just to get comparison data posted.

I have 24 GB of storage on my mac. I primarily am just using illustrator and photoshop when working. If I have a lot of elements in a file like in Photoshop Im used to that being a little more slow, but now it does this even when I open a new file. Sometimes it seems to work itself out after I restart my computer but I dont know if this actually fixes anything.
This is also only with one file open at a time in the program

And the media? What video formats used? And which stills formats from Illustrator and Photoshop, and what pixel dimensions on the files? As Premiere tends to choke with two large of a still image file by x by y dimensions.
