Waveform renders but Audio does not playback. Meters do not move PP2017

I have the similar problems audio problems except in my case waveform renders, premiere does generate peak files after a move or cache delete no audio. Have tried  the following workarounds.

1.)Did a clean install of 2017. installed current BMD drivers 10.8.2

2.) I have cleared out the cache using Premiere

3.) Moved the cache.

4.) Manually deleted the cache.

4.) Moved the location of the clips.

5.) Relinked the clips.

6.) Imported new clips.

7.) Created new projects and imported new clips.

8.) Created new projects and imported unrelated clips.

9.)Imported just audio files.

NO AUDIO during playback.  Waveforms do show up but the meters do not move. Clips were tested externally using Quicktime and it plays back with audio.

SYSTEM:

Yosemite 10.10.5

2.7 GHz 12-core intel E5

64 GB 1866 DDR3

FirePro D700 6144MB

Black Magic UltraStudio 4K Extreme 10.8.2

Did you check playback settings in the Preferences?

Hi Johnv,

Please check the Master VU Meter & Fader(G) in Audio Track Mixer for Output signal level.

Change the level & check the Audio meter for movement.

Is this happening with all project files?
