Talking down? ...  not at all. And yes, as a trackable item it can create a path ... but what you control is the positioning with the controls, and use the keyframes if desired to change the location over time. So yes ... it controls position. Just that it can also do multiple positions.

Try it ... very simple.

Two controls ... horizontal placement, vertical placement.

Moves the graphic on the screen.

No I figured it out . It's when you adjust the paths of a shape. Its not for positioning.

And I hope you weren't talking down to me when you said it's simple because you have the wrong answer.

A number of the old pros (by years of experience) are direct and short of words. And they think more of processes and working choices than feelings. That can come across as rude when there's no intention of feelings at all.

Over the years I've had some of the best advice and assistance on here from some occasionally thought of as rude. And found them just direct. Pointedly so at times. And an amazing resource.

It's not from the old pros that you get the remarks from it's from the newbies. I have been editing for 30 years now I can say I am an old pro.

Not commenting on you, as of  course, over a forum like this, no clue about each other.

What I was referring to is that some of the experienced pros that answer a lot of questions around "here" are short & direct in their responses, and that is taken at times to be rude in intent. Which it isn't.

And yea, the attitude from some of the noobs is a bit ... intense? ... at times. Sigh.
