FilmImpact Motion Tween effect is limited by Premiere

FilmImpact's powerful suite of tools includes one must-have tool for every vlogger - Motion Tween. It will animate your layer from the A side position/scale to the B side position/scale with a tween which you can control the easing of. Basically it removes the need for keyframes when doing zoom ins and outs.

However, while it will work to move from one part of the image to another with a position adjustment, the borders of the image disappear when doing this. This is of course a FilmImpact problem that they need to solve, but it's also a Premiere limitation. Premiere doesn't think like After Effects does.

If you take a clip, zoom in on it, then put Transform on an Adjustment Layer above that clip, the Transform effect will only see the visible pixels and ignore the fact that there are pixels to this clip outside the boundaries of the visible frame.

That's the main issue that is being addressed here, because of how Premiere looks at what is happening on the clips in the frame it limits what you can do with them. Just want to bring this up as a point of interest. I know FilmImpact is in discussion with Adobe, I've talked with FilmImpact, but the issue is more than just supporting a single third party developer. This limits us from using Adjustment Layers in the most effective way inside of Premiere.

This sounds like a feature request. I'll move it to the Ideas forum, @BrianLevin.

Thanks,
Kevin

Would love to see if there's a fix for this. It's my favorite effect from any 3rd party plugin
