Paste & Remove Attributes in master clips

Now we can paste effects in multiple master clips with keyboard shortcut and disable them from the drop down menu, but if we want to remove the effect we have to do it clip by clip.

The master clip effects should be handled exactly like on the timeline with the Paste Attributes and Remove Attributes dialogues.

(Pasted this from a similar thread I just responded to. Wish I would have found this one first cause I think it's the better solution)

This is so so so so dumb.

Try it, Adobe, please: Paste an effect onto 12,000 master clips.

Now the only way to remove those effects is, yes, one by friggin one. Are you kidding?

Applying lumetri/luts etc to masterclips can be really useful, but I feel like I'm playing Russian Roulette whenever I do it. To the point where, as Aaron commented, it's effectively useless (in how hazardous it is) for all but the simplest workflows and/or tiny projects.

And disabling is not the same as removing. What we need is a "remove attributes" dialog for master clips.

This has been known for FOUR YEARS. This doesn't embarrass you at all?

This is the whole reason I stopped using the master clip effect and worked around it, by putting clips into a sequence then using that sequence as a master "tape" then apply fx on to clips in that sequence to have the same outcome as master clip effect, but with more flexibility because with master clip fx you cant mass remove an effect. Please add this, it is way way way overdue, you're probably not hearing too many people complain about it because they've given up on using it because of its incomplete implementation.

I really just started out learning PP and AE and whatnot throughout the previous 18 months. I am now 3 days into my first serious editing, and already I encountered exactly this scenario.

Please, please, prettyplease with sugar on top, implement this in a way that master effects are actually usable and not just a deceptive throwaway feature for YT tutorials.

Currently, for me, this means I have to think about a completely different (and less elegant) workflow, particularly as I am not living on 20 years of muscle memory on things like Color correction and grading and such.

This is a major issue, I can't consolidate and transcode any project that has source effects, rendering my post workflow useless and costing me huge fees in project storage - please fix!!

Glad I caught this glaring omission before I got too far into an edit. Surely it can't be a major programming hurdle?!?
