ReLink LUTs

Sometimes when I open a project my luts just go offline making all the my clips appear black unless I disable that lumetri colour effect. I would love if there was an easy way to relink LUTs in the same way you relink missing media.

The process of manually re-adding each LUT clip by clip can take hours and is a serious killer for me!

Relinking LUTs needs to be introduced. It is pain currently to relink LUTs if the LUT file is moved or the whole project is moved. It's a very time consuming process on large projects.

I imagine Relinking LUTs should be built into the same interface as Relinking Missing Media, for this I believe the LUT file needs to be imported into the project like media files to allow this to work and a way to use these LUTs from the project panel in the Lumetri Colour Panel.

Constantly happens... I work large format (1hr-2hr) long content streams that cost thousands and we can not loose entire days of work RE-LINKING color effects, long after they were applied and client approved. This wanna-be-professional software is what it is... nothing more then a stop-Gap until something truly workable takes over the space that FCP once held. Adobe knows full well about the issue and has known for three releases and has chosen not to address it. I just bought a control surface for Resolve and I can't wait to leave this joke of a "professional" tool behind

here is a fix that will work for you. Close the project, close Premiere. re-name the folder that contains the project and assets. Then re-open the project. It will relink everything. The key is make sure that you keep your LUTs in a folder that doesn't change. So when it relinks it finds them. Also when you do a backup to an external drive, Maybe don't backup the luts, just keep them in one location on each of your systems so it always can be relinked using the same routine.
I was boned by this issue, and was able to relink four shows with over 6hrs of finished content in a few minutes. Good luck.

Unfortunately Dave's tip didn't work for me. I’d transferred all the assets to a different Mac, realised the LUTs weren't linking, then moved them to a folder with the same path in relation to the project file. They applied again correctly next time I opened the project. But after changing the video acceleration settings, they all unlinked again and nothing I can do will make them link. Fortunately I'm not on a deadline with this but what a nightmare. Several hundred clips to go through.

Your LUTs wrongly installed in the app package. NO! Please install them according to Adobe documentation to start.

Please don't follow install instructions from a five year old internet article. Installation instructions have changed.

Nothing in that article is about installing LUTs in any new way. Not helpful.

Perhaps you didn't go down through the manual there to the LUTs section.

This should link to using LUTs, and ... read through it. Down just a bit in the text are the instructions for where you should load LUTs so Premiere, AfterEffects, and MediaEncoder properly and completely "see" and use the correct ones.

Hi @FeedbackCommunityMember,

I see. You want a more robust way of relinking LUTs. I agree. However, this is more of a feature request. Moving to Ideas.

Thanks,
Kevin
