braw footage will not import

Hi, I shot footage in braw with my BlackMagic 4K camera. I tried to import it into my project, which already has a bunch of braw footage in it, and the progress bar never makes progress. It just says importing... but the progress bar below is black and never shows the blue bar progressing. 

Things of note: 

-I am able to import .mov files.

-I have braw studio

-I am using a hard drive to import the file. It also doesn't import from my desktop

Is this on a drive with other media you've been able to import?

Yes, this is the same drive I've been using to import all my other braw footage.

And you've checked folder and file permissions for that folder and files I assume ...

Yeah I've never had issues with folder and file permissions on this hard drive...when I check info for that hard drive I have read and write privileges.

If you copy/paste one of those into a folder you're already loading braw from, can you get it?

Sadly, no. Would it make a difference that proxies have been created for all the other braw files?

Just downloaded and imported the file on my laptop ... and it worked perfectly.

I'm using the Autokroma BRAW Studio plugin to handle my BRAW files, but I'd think the free BM one should work. Though I had so many troubles with that one that I gave up and bought the Autokroma one.
