Hello guys,
I'm a beginner in Adobe. I'm on windows 10 pro with a good setup
I have also the codec HEVC.
I have recorded a video with my iphone in 4k/60ips. This video contains audio.
When I put the video in my timeline, the sound is doing great but the video is totally freezing.
I tried to use ' light copy ' (I don't know how we call it in english ahah)
but, nothing changed.
I tried to read the video in 1/8, nothing changed neither.
I can read this video without any problem on VLC.
If someone has the answer..
Thanks a lot in advance,
The french beginner ahah
first, hevc is a difficult codec, heavily compressed so the file size stays small. First thing you need to do is convert the file from a variable frame rate (a problem with most if not all smartphone videos and which premiere can have all sorts of unexpected issues with) using handbrake which will save as h264 (not h265 hevc)

and here's a tutorial on how to use handbrake

h264 will be easier for your system to deal with than h265 (hevc) but with 4k you might want to investigate a proxy workflow. Happy to walk you thru that, but first see if handbrake solves your problem...
