Can't open an old prproj file

I downloaded Adobe Premiere pro so I can view a prproj file that was created many years ago. When I try to "Open project", it lets me choose it from my personal folder but it won't open, won't even appear as an added file. I am having the same issue with Media Encoder.

Rather than opening the old project, try starting a new one and using the Media Browser, import the old one.
