import *.srt file, after edit again, can't export the srt correctly( in and out time problem)

import srt file, and then drag to the timeline, if you cut into two piece, then drag oneside in the timeline,, the in and out time not changed.....(actually the srt file is treated same as the video,, for the video, we only need the part, the time is not important after we cut and edit...

but the srt file is different), we still need the time after we cut it and edit...because the "in and out time“ is not changed,if we export this srt again, the time can't match the final video. sometime we need the srt file.....(if export including the subtitle, the video is no problem)

so is there any way for us to update the "in and out time" for the srt file, after we drag the cut part, or supply one export way for srt file, that the "in and out time" is depending on the timeline not the srt orignal "in and out time”

the key point is, srt should not be treated as same as video file...

You can't update THAT srt file. Make a new one:

Make sure all the moved/rearranged subtitles are on one Track in the sequence.

Select the SEQUENCE in the Project Panel. Then File -> Export -> Captions. This will use the timeline timecodes.

Thank you very much for your reply..

Your answer solved the problem perfectly,,

(before time i was lost in the logical puzzle,, we can export the MEDIA without select the SEQUENCE,and at that situation, the CAPTION option is not available, so i select the import srt file, and [ File-->Export->Captions], that lead to the wrong way...)
