Unlink proxies from individual clips?

On accident, I've linked a few clips to what I thought were proxies for those clips but were actually just the clips themselves.

Now in my Proxy metadata column, it appears that I have proxies linked for everything, when in fact I don't—I'll need to create proxies for these select clips at a later date. So I expected there would be an easy way to just unlink them from their "proxies" so that they wouldn't show as linked in my project. But... I can't find one.

Why is there not an "Unlink proxies" item in the Proxy dropdown menu?

And before you say "delete the clips from the project and re-import them," that would work, but I have already used several of these clips in compositions, and deleting them will mess with my project in a way that I find completely unnecessary.

If there is no way to unlink proxies, please add this function Adobe! This is an elementary task that should be much simpler and intuitive.

I welcome other suggestions.

No feature yet. But there is a workaround
First, Here's a previous feature request that you can upvote: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/34192966-remove-proxies

Workaround. Select all you clips --> create proxies --> when all files load up in Media Encoder and the first one starts encoding, hit the stop button and remove them from media encoder. You will see"Offline" under proxy column
