Uploading to youtube degrades quality a ton

When I export out of premiere pro, my video looks perfect. However, when I upload it to youtube, the quality goes down by a lot. I've tried increasing the bitrate and exporting at a higher quality but none of these have fixed the issue. The screenshots might not look that bad however, some parts of the video look worse than the others. Also, I know that youtube will compress the files anyways however other youtubers have their video still look really nice while mine look horrible.

This guy does a wonderful job on explaining exactly what you're having trouble with. Good luck

Are you giving youtube time to render the 4K version? If you upload and watch immediately, you're probably watching the SD version because it won't have had time to create the 4K version.
