RoboHelp Changes Not Showing in Browser

When I publish small text or pic changes in RoboHelp (v2022.3.93), the changes don't show up in a browser (Firefox, Chrome), even if the page is reloaded. They always show up if I look at the local output. Usually they show up online if I use in-private browsing, sometimes they show up if I delete browser history. Since this doesn't happen when I change a simple (non-RoboHelp) web page, I have to believe it has something to do with how RoboHelp builds the pages. Anyone know what's going on? Any RoboHelp settings that might cause browsers to reload everything?

You can also add commands to your topics to force this too - see https://community.adobe.com/t5/robohelp-discussions/after-a-publish-i-can-see-the-changes-in-edge-but-not-in-chrome/m-p/13796141#M149756

Next time this happens, reload but do nothing more, leave it an hour or so. Then try again. I have found javascript files in particular can take longer to refresh.

If you don't want to do that, I suggest for this one you need to go to Adobe Support. See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

Thanks! This is the most obnoxious part of the problem (from (b) above), I'll have to see if I want to go this route ...

The server where you're hosting your output content is caching the pages - that's why you don't see them refreshing when you've replaced/changed the content. Check with your IT people, there's a setting that can be added to reduce or stop caching.

Thanks. My impression is:

(a) there is caching on the website, although that's not the whole problem.

(b) there is caching on the browser, which means clearing the cache helps.

(c) I am  suspicious of the Robohelp cache (everything that changes doesn't always go out), but would need more data to prove it.

To fix (a) and (c), I apparently can remove (re-name) the help project and re-output it with the changes.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
