Hi everyone! My photo was rejected with the note "Similar content in our collection." How can this be? It's my photo. It was taken where I live. It's not a world-famous landmark. If it met the technical requirements, I would understand. I've attached a smaller copy.
This is a common issue that began a few months ago. Search the forum for "similar content." It is what it is.

Attachements can't be opened due to an unresolved error in the forum software. In addition we require as submitted pictures. But in your case, none of this is needed. The similar rejection reason generates that much colateral, (feeled) half of the forum is about this topic. There is no solution to this, except to refine the titles and the keywords and resubmit at a later stage.

Thank you. I'll try that. Have a nice day!

Your photo is beutiful indeed, you're very lucky to have this as your backyard.
As you read from the other commutnity members, this is an ongoing issue.
I've had photos rejected for "technical issues" then fixed and the second time I get "similar content" rejection.
I stop bendeing over it, and focus on shooting more and adding to my library.
I do have to say that you need improvement in your editing. This photo needs more contrast, and with Photoshop you can make some nice improvements in seconds. Question, is this file you submitted or did you downsize to share here, because as it is, it's too small to be accepted.
Here is the better advice, use your habitat to shoot photos of your family and friends hicking, kayaking, doing activities,
ofcourse you'll need model releases, but I gurantee you that if you plan well, you will sell way more than just sceneries.
(Oh and also shoot videos)
Cheers!

I didn't want a strong contrast, I wanted a soft photo. It's morning. Thanks for the reply! I resized the photo for the forum myself. I uploaded the larger photos to the service. Have a nice day!

Stock photography is about craft, not art. If the potential buyer wants a softer asset, they can easily use a filter for that. The inverse is rarely possible. This said, "Similar" is not judging the quality of a pricture, but tries to detect subjects that are abundantly present in the database. Obviously you would argue that the comparing software they use, failed with your image, and if you would do so, we all would eagerly agree. It's what it is...

This forum's viewer is broken so we can't see your attached file without undue risk to our computers.
Use the toolbar's Picture icon to embed an image into your reply.
Without seeing your image, I'm guessing Stock already has too many similar landscapes for sale.
This is what Stock says about 'Similar Content.'
