As an image says more than a thousand words 🙂 I need to convert this to a mogrt, so I need the yellow text to be a different textlayer, as it uses a different font/weight. That said, the 'line text 01' can never extend beyond the red line. So the user needs to be able to break to second line (but I believe you can't do that in premiere essential panel?). So is there a automatic break expression maybe I can add? Or I just use a Boxtext? Anyhow when the first text goes to 2 lines, the yellow subtext must jump position. How do I do that? thanks! MMm. My memory could be failing. Older versions I could import a movie with straight alpha, turn off the alpha and the viewport showed me the straight alpha. But when I render out to prores (without alpha) and turn on straight alpha in render settings, i'm getting the results I want. So it's good for now.

@JohnColombo I'm noticing when I render stuff out at 16bit with straight alpha (lossless+alpha or 4444+alpha) and I import the file and turn off the alpha (ignore settings in interpret footage). I'm not seeing the excess colors around the edges (specially on glows) like a straight alpha should give you! I need this when I want to give matte/fill versions to clients. It elimnates the ugly dirty black haze with glows! Is this also the same issue ?? tested it on 2022 and there the straight alpha still works!

All known. I have now 3 different clients that experience coloredbar/missing file screens in the mogrts! While the same mogrt works just fine on other PP setups. So the template is working, also when you extract it to AE, all files are present. There is a bug, for sure!

Same!!! why has almost nobody this problem? Drives me insane!! Ive tested 2022 and 2023 on PC and MAC !! 50% of the time Videofiles embedded in mogrt DO NOT load in premiere! But the AEgraphic is perfect when you extract and import in AE!! All files are present. What is going on??

Hey I've been having big troubles with mogrts made in 2023 (latest version). When I add mp4's or Prores files they do not load! The show up as missing (clients get test patterns) When I rename the .aegraphic to .zip and extract it. The AE project is fine, the video file it needs is there! Now i've exported the mogrt using 2022 and it loads fine in Premiere 2023! what is going on? I have so many deadlines with mogts but they are all failing! Can't find a solution.

Ow.. this setup works fine!! Great. It takes the position/scale info from the layer above it and you can delay it with a slider! will work great in Mogrt!!

Lately I'm getting so many client request for controlling the timing of an animation in a Mogrt. Rick Gerard did a nice setup with sliders to control the timing of text (animator) fading in. He also says it is possible with position/scale/rotation? but I cant figure it out! https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/time-control-expression-of-layer-with-slider-for-use-with-a-mogrt/m-p/11076054#M109981 I added his project but remove the text animator and added a Position/Scale keyframes for all 4 layers. Is it possible to adjust when the Pos/Scale animation 'kicks' in by controlling the slider ? It would be so nice if you could move a precomp in the timeline by using sliders. This would open so many options for clients to control when an FX or animation starts in complex templates. Anyone can help me out? thanks.

Very nice! But this is just for 'fading in' text at certain point! I have 4 text layers that move in from bottom (out of frame) to the middle. The client wants to control the timing. Sometimes they need to animate seperate with a delay. Sometimes text1 and text2 need to animate in together. Is there a way to also get a slider that controls when a layer stars moving or rotating ?

I got the bug too! So annoying! Os Ventura / Latest AE version. When I colorpick from a solid or shapelayer, it selects the object I'm colorpicking from. I can only color pick when I first open the color window and click like a madman! Please fix this as I use it 500x a day :((

ACES is out so many years! and still Adobe hasn't made this easy! What a shame! It should recognize aces files and do all the work for use! not for us to setup 2 adjustmentlayers and Interpret every single file we import! WTF. If encoder doesnt work, just export to Prores 4444 in AE and add the .mov to encoder and render out what you want!

For many clients I need to provide Avid quicktimes. Sometimes they need interlaced version but here is the catch. For AE to render interlaced you need to set the field orders in the Render settings. If you don't, you are rendering progressive. But the Avid DNxHD codec has a 1080i version. So that codec basicly creates fields! Even if you are rendering progressive. How does it work when you turn on the fields in Rendersettings? Dont they cancel out? I would think turning on Fields in renders settings and rendering to Avid 1080 progressive, is the most correct way? So how do you render proper fields? Leaving progressive + Avid 1080i codec? Setting fields + Avid 1080i codec? Setting fields + Avid 1080p codec?

Seems like 17.5.0 on Mac, the autosave is not always working! I have mine at 5min interval. Sometimes it saves 30mins long no autosaves. Also is real MULTICORE rendering like AE 2014 ever coming back?? We have multicore intel/amd's doing nothing when rendering, it's a shame.

People should learn that PPI's says nothing about resoultion. It's just information for a printer or output device. If you take a 1000px x 1000px in photoshop, you can put it on 72ppi/dpi. The printer will print 1000/72 =13,8 inch wide/high. If you change the image to 300dpi (without checking 'RESIZE IMAGE') the resolution will still be 1000px X 1000px but the printer will print it at 1000/300 = 3,3 inches wide/hight! So much misunderstading about dpi/ppi. Just focus on RESOLUTION in pixels when you are working with pixels!
