Is this issue with losing pressure on Mac still an issue with the most current update (22.2)?
If it is, can you post a video (QT Screen Recording or other) of this happening so we can see the exact steps you're taking to make this happen?
When you reply, please also specify what version of the OS you're running (10.14.6, 10.15.7, 11.1, etc), what version of Photoshop (20.0.9, 21.2.3, 22.2 - recommended) and what Wacom drivers you're using (current is 6.3.42-1).
Thanks!

*HubertusausBerlin I wanted to relay a comment from the developers working on this:
"The IMG_0708 2.mov video is extremely helpful to showcase the problem. Very revealing in frame-by-frame watching what's happening and the order of the events. John H and myself want to express our thanks to the user who took the time & trouble to make the video!"

Great video @CGdesigner72 - illustrates the sluggish update of the canvas after moving a slider. How big is that document (both file size and dimensions; Height/Width in pixels and resolution) and how many layers? Thanks!

@CGdesigner72 Could you update to the latest (22.1.1) and let me know if performance is any better?
You also mention above "Removing the tablet function from the window and using the tablet purely in Photoshop will solve the problem." Can you clarify what you mean by that and what steps you took to do that (maybe provide a screenshot)? Thanks!

@frafilipo art Thank you, this is great... not for you, I know, but this is great info for us to look at and fix this. Thank you! Your hunch about GPU may be right on, there have been recent changes in that code.

@frafilipo art I have a few more questions. I can't reproduce accessing Free Transform on a Background layer, that is certainly abnormal and you shouldn't be able to do that. It is possible that prefs are somehow corrupt. It's a sucky suggestion but you could try starting with fresh prefs and see if that resolves it.
I also noticed your gaming software. If you have the mouse polling rate set high, that can result in the flickering/jumping you're seeing.
From this helpx page: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-slow-lags.html
If you're using a gaming mouse (Logitech G700S or similar) with a custom driver, set the polling rate to 125 Hz in the device driver.

Thanks @Charts If you go into Wacom Pen Settings and click on the Options button, is Tip-Up Assist enabled? If it is, can you disable it and try. Let me know if that makes a difference.

Thanks @frafilipo art We're still having trouble reproducing the issue. Could you attach your System Info; from within Photoshop, go to Help > System Info... (copy and paste that here or into a text file and attach it). Also, could you provide steps you take to get the crash (including size of image you're using; ex. 3000px by 2400px @Deleted User, 16-bit, RGB).
Thanks!

We have a bug on this and we are trying to reproduce/recreate the bug.
Can you give us as much detail as possible?
What Wacom device and driver version? (is Tip-Up Assist enabled? If you go to Pen Settings and click on Options)
Which brush?
What brush size?
What opacity?
What document size (width height ppi)?
What mode?
How many layers?
If possible could you just attached the brush?
Thanks

We have 2 bugs we are fixing;
1. Updating Smart Object breaks liquify,
2. Liquify + Guides = Disk Error
Do either of those sound like what you are running into?

WarnRunningScripts 0 has nothing to do with Pen Pressure.
Having WarnRunningScripts on will display a warning dialog containing the text when you try to load/run a script from anywhere outside of File > Scripts > Browse, like drag/drop or File > Open.
You are about to run the script contained in file ^Q^0^Q. Are you sure you want to do this? To suppress this warning, add WarnRunningScripts 0 to the PSUserConfig.txt file in the Photoshop settings folder and restart Photoshop. (YES / NO)
Using this gestalt simply disables the warning dialog and has nothing to do with pen pressure.
The dialog appears when loading scripts
This was a change originating from a security vulnerability report.

Does this happen with GPU on? Also are your Wacom drivers up to date? Sounds like the WinTab driver is failing. The next time this happens, Ctlr+Alt+Delete to access Task Manager, find Tablet Service > Wacom Professional Service, right-click that and select Open Services. Find Wacom Professional Service and restart it. If pen starts working again then it's the wacom wintab driver that stops working.

Yes, PSUserConfig.txt (WinTab) should be functioning again in the update that was just released (21.2.3) - that is one of the things we fixed. We are working with MS to deal with the popups but we don't own those and can't fix that - MS has to do it or at minimum provide a way to disable them. Yes, we have a bug on the Clone/Healing brush source point not tracking with Win Ink. If you use the PSUserConfig.txt workaround to enable WinTab and disable Win Ink via Wacom Settings > Calibrate, tracking should work.

Hear you loud and clear and we're on it. Fix is coming very soon. Apologies for the WinTab breakage in 21.2.2! Here are your current options until we post the update with the fix (very soon!):
1. Uninstall 21.2.2 (Back up your prefs!) and reinstall 21.2.1 (restore your prefs); WinTab works.
2. Stick with 21.2.2 until the update posts. 21.2.2 requires Win Ink checkbox enabled in Wacom settings enabled and removal of PSUserConfig.txt
Other things you need to tweak in the Win OS to get Win Ink to work better: - go to Control Panels > Pen and touch and disable Press and hold (explained more here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/tablet-support-faq-photoshop.html) - go to Settings > Devices > Pen & Windows Ink: enable "Let me use my pen as a mouse in some desktop apps"
