Go to preferences in PP and check your audio hardware settings and choose built in audio. Let us know what happens. Also what is the audio codec and format of the audio files on the timeline. If you double click the file to bring it up on the source monitor are you getting audio playback there? If you are then there is an issue on your sequence settings. Yes a Mac is a computer. Yes the parts are all sourced form similar suppliers. Yes a pc running windows can outrun a Mac if u spend money modding it. Yes yes yes to all this. But its the elegance of a Mac and its OS that makes it a pleasure to use. Windows is a terrible operating system and the only few they ever got right was XP and Win7. Yes Apple also had a few black sheep but the difference is they then do their best to better it while Microsoft releases Win 10 and mucks its all up lol. Ann I can think up only 1 of 2 solutions: 1. Fix the localization. So goto File->Save as->and save the file to his desktop and then try to render out. 2. Change the renderer. So goto File->Project Settings->General and change to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only. Then render it out Beside those 2 I am at a loss for a solution. Is this "glitchy" frame a video you brought into the timeline or an asset created in AE? If it's an asset from within AE eg a solid layer, shape layer etc are there any effects placed on this layer? Generally these kind of glitches occur when u bring in a video file or even a still image that was not properly encoded and AE finds difficult to render as it doesn't match frame rates or the codec you are outputting to. I am going to offer a really unusual solution and hope it works. Change the output file name to something simple eg just name the file you are outputting MASTER. So it should read MASTER.mp4 in the output window. Choose a small section with the work area bar and tell me if that renders. I will be waiting on your reply. Sometimes unusual naming conventions tend to throw off renders. I've seen this quite a few times. Also set the output destination to your desktop. Well Mojave offers the new "dark mode" which I am sure you are aware of. I find this has somehow played havoc on color gamuts in Resolve and now I see in Premiere. The gamut is almost non existent and the RAW footage seems to look "graded" already. Somehow the OS is bumping up the RAW files saturation levels. Still a mystery but hopefully one Apple will address in a patch sometime soon. ... View more
