That simple. Maybe have the another command for render selection effects only if you want to distinguish it? I don't think many editors use the effects only render though, I think the mayority just renders all. The yellow clips preview when using Optical Flow, for example, isn't good enough, it show jerky. I do mogrts for some clients, and is annoying that the program is forcing me to save everytime I do an export of a mogrt. I'm just wanting to see if the template that I just created works fine, and if it doesn't I'll have to make adjustments to it, like a regular video export on a composition. So I don't want to save as I'm not sure what the output is going to be like.   The worst part is that it also clears for Undos, so your stuck. One of the things that I miss about good old Final Cut 7 is to be able to store my presets of transitions. Meaning I could have my custom setting of a transition and also my prefered duration of transitions ready to drop to a timeline clip at any time.   And I'm not talking about the default transition, I want to be able to set presets of as many transitions as I want. I want to prioritize performance in Premiere Pro CC 2017 above all. Then After effects. I experienced the change of performance that was CUDA back in the days, but now some say it doesn't seem to make any difference anymore. We now have better OpenCL and also Metal. The last Nvidia graphic cards shipped in MBPs were in 2014, so should I go for that one, or just buy the latest which have the Intel Iris graphic cards? Any MacBookPros Premiere users out there? So I'm working with a translations company that sends me .srt with timecode and wants to have back burned-in subtitles, seems easy right? Well, not so much. I've been hopeful with premiere's new feature of batch edit the captions (finally!) but there's a new bug that comes along with it, changes are not saved. (Build 11.1.1) For example, I change the background color and text size to all my subtitles, and then when I reopen Premiere the work I did isn't there anymore, it all resets back to the default background, size, etc WTF???? Also, it would be good if Premiere did something about the text encoding. In the first place tell which text encoding format are they taking, I guess it's UTF 16 or UTF 8. It would be good if they could take more, since captions and subtitles often have several languages and many weird * icons can result by importing an .srt in portuguese for example. Now, whenever I change the encoding in another software, like simple Window's Notepad to UTF 8, the strange icons stop appearing but the subtitle goes out of sync! None of the times of the subtitle are respected! It's driving me crazy. I ended up using Handbrake to burn in the subtitles, even though I don't have the option to adjust size, font, positions, etc. ... View more
