Hi, Is there any way to clean up Illustrator's black and white Halftone Pattern? I tried expanding as well as changing the Document Raster Effect Settings, but I still get this pixelated look.   I should add that I like the way that the effect distorts the dots, so that's not the issue; it's merely the low-resolution appearence.   (I don't want to use a greyscale version of the Color Halftone effect, neither in Illustrator nor Photoshope, as I don't like the round dots.   I looked into the Phantasm plugin, but it just seems to provide a vector version of the 'perfect' Color Halftone dots, as opposed to the distorted effect mentioned above...) ... EDIT: Please ignore this post -- the issue was solved by restarting AE. (I would've deleted the post but couldn't figure out how to do that ... 🙂   Hi, I'm completely new to After Effects, so this is definitely a newb error.   When I opened AE today, there was just a white, empty image where there should be a composite of two pictures I morphed into each other the last time the project was open.   I then clicked on 'something', and now the empty image is gone too, leaving only what you can see in the screenshot below.   Could anyone please tell me what I've done wrong? 🙂 ... When I paste a still image on the timeline, I assumed that I could change its duration by extending it.   But when I try to do that, I get a "trim media limit reached" error. Which I guess makes some kind of sense since it's a still.   But what's the procedure for displaying one image for x frames? ... View more

Illy crashed and re-opened a restored file which I thought was complete -- so I saved it as my original file AND saved that as my backup.   Then I realized that half the content was in fact missing from that file; weeks of work gone...   And now, I have spent the past hour on Adobe's support who keeps telling me I should find the file where I saved it. Which is not exactly what I need. 🙂   He also claims that my recovered files are in DropBox, which I frankly don't understand since I've never used that service and I doubt that Adobe is using that platform for storage of user files, but he is not able to provide any explanation. He also told me sign out of Creative Cloud and back several times, which didn't appear to serve any purpose.   So, what I despearately need to know is this:   Exactly where does Illy store the recovery versions it automatically creates? I there any way for me to restore any of these versions?   I found several answers on Google, but none seems to work: One page, for instance, mentions this path: /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator, but I don't have access to that library, and it also seems to be empty.   So, any suggestions would be extremely appreciated! 🙂 ...
