Thanks for the feedback.  I hear what you're saying. I think the general recommendation was to re-encode specific types of footage that prove to be problematic.  Sometimes this is good practice for things like funky screen recordings or certain types of variable frame rate footage.  So many sources out there. Hi Adam, Re: GPU drivers.  Are you able to switch between GPU modes in Premiere or do you see GPU acceleration enabled in Project Settings? Do you have better luck in Premiere if you change your project settings to software only? Hello, The solo / unsolo issue was an unfortunate bug that we have resolved.    As long as you open older projects, solo / unsolo then save, that bug should be resolved. Sounds like this could be a configuration issue. More information is needed. Are you on Mac or Windows? What kind of sound card are you using, speakers, etc? Re: GPU drivers As a general note, there have been significant changes to CUDA (requiring 9.2 versions)  and also many changes related to Nvidia graphics drivers.   For GTX users with issues, it's worth trying a couple different versions of recent drivers.  Some have reported better results not using the most current. Anyone experiencing crashes, please copy and paste the crash report and feel free to send it to me via PM. On Windows, when the crash reporter pops up there is a text link you can click to view the crash report in detail.  You can then copy and paste the details. Hello - Thanks for the info. In your original post you were having problem importing the video portion of your media.  I'm assuming this was resolved if you were able to keep editing, correct?   Did you ever end up manually deleting your media cache folders? This can help resolve issues when moving to a newer version of Premiere. Coupe more questions: Are you exporting to H.264?   Did you find anything interesting around the time referenced by the error? I know you mentioned you were going to investigate this on your own - curious to hear if there is more info available on that. Are there lots of GPU intensive effects, third party effects or warp stabilizer?      Maybe our best clue at this point is the time referenced by the error dialog.
