How about this. Open keyboard shortcuts Ctrl-Alt-K on cc2018 (available also on the Edit menu). Search for "thumbnail", see if there is one for the timeline. Map a key for it and see if that would work.

Yes, sorry, I saw you had no wrench after I posted. Did you try right-clicking various places in the timeline header near and about where the track names are. I don't have cs5 installed, so you'll have to snoop around for it. Shouldn't be that hard to find using a right-click.

Mine take 8 - 10 seconds before the plugins start to scroll on the splash screen... after that it's pretty OK as I have only the basic PP no aftermarket items. I don't remember the splash screen just sitting there like it does now, not loading anything (visible). x99 6850 64gb mem PP 12.1.0 (build 186) PP running from m.2 960 evo

You have the format set to 'Waveform Audio', that's only an audio export. Select a video format...

I don't believe there is anything to fix here. From the timeline you can select the Text tool with a T, you are not adding text yet. You can select the program monitor and play, set in/out, etc with the (V) Selection tool, Pen tool or even the Text tool, the interface is consistent, but with the Text tool selected, once you click the monitor and have the thin red bounding box, then you are entering text and you are not setting in/out, play etc by the various keys you type.

Thanks Roei Tzoref I got confused when you said at the end 'i can add a drop shadow in premiere'. Your question/point above was "then I see I need to actually make it smaller and with drop shadow" No way to so this for all the layers at once?" So, can you [also] add the drop shadow in AE and see the global change in PP?

Hi Ann Bens, I just tried that with attached proxy and it deleted the actual footage but not the proxy (in a Proxy subfoder). Is this what is to be expected?

Just in case you missed it, bruces96534395 wrote 3....even when you change them to a waveform they are still only the top half of a wave form. In the timeline context menu, the 'pancake' symbol up top (of the timeline) just to the right of the sequence name. I you want both 'halves' of the wave form un-check "Rectified Audio Waveforms"

On Windows at least you don't have to click the little (itsy-bitsy) triangle, just (left) click and hold for a second anywhere on the button and the other tools show in a context style menu.

Why are you thinking it's good to have a mogurt rather than just using an AE Graphic? Seems it's one more level rather than just using AE for titles, etc directly.

I was just able to play it from both the source - and dropped onto a new sequence in the program monitor, both without frame drop. It looked like there might be 3 or 4 dropped frames using VLC? OK, just found that info, VLC dropped 3 frames. i7-6850 1070 64gb playing from m2 boot drive

That's strange JS, it's the very same screenshot in both threads. I have the similar issue. That dialog comes up once each time the project is loaded. Then what did you mean by: "Ok there may have been some installed mogrts which were exported on a system with a non-typekit version of the same font. The mogrt(s) in question have already been re-exported and integrated into the installer for our next public release" And the purpose of uploading the fixed graphics?

That one is reported. They are trying to release just those mogurts otherwise, they should be fixed in the next release. There is a very recent thread about this, but from a quick look I didn't find it.

With no clips selected I can Alt-Click the audio track of a linked clip and delete just that. IE: I don't have to unlink first.

FWIW: I'm on PP 12.01, and I've been using "Render Selection" with a (ctrl-enter) shortcut. And each time I open the project the clips I've rendered are turning up green and ready to go...
