If you are just looking to position the top edge of the frame .75 from the top of the page you can simply set the reference point of your object by selecting your object and then in the reference point panel (below) select the handle by which you want to measure from and then type the offset.     You hit the nail on the head by defining the object as 'artistic text' this would be similar in Adobe Illustrator. InDesign is a page layout tool and as such the workflow is typically to appropriately place content boxes and fill them with text based on layout and flow. Other programs might mix 'artistic text' frames, but InDesign takes more of a purist approach. I am sure it is frustrating when you come from other programs, but the way that InDesign works is typical of most industry standard layout programs. You would setup 4 Master Pages. One for each unit. Then you would setup your "Classes" as Chapters. So your book would have Unit 1 - Class 3 (Master Page - Chapter). Can you tell me more about what you mean by "Into" a picture. Typically you would place a text box over the picture and then you can group the two items together <ctrl/cmd> +G. As mentioned, Wordsflow will export your document stories as individual word docs, but not the whole book of indd files in one click. If you are looking for something that will do the whole batch in one step, you might be out of luck. PDF to word might be a good solution, but depending on your intent for having it as a Word doc, it might cause more problems than it solves. It really depends on the document elements. If you just have paragraphs and headings, you will probably be okay. If your document is full of images, captions, footnotes etc. and you are hoping to get a complete .doc that you can just keep on editing and working with just like it was in InDesign, you might be in for some frustrations. It just depends on your intent. Wordsflow is really the best tool for collaborating back and forth between Word and InDesign. But the documents need to be setup with that in mind. Most of the time you create your TOC in the source. MS Word and InDesign have automatic Table of Contents editors that key off of your styles. If you do not have access to the source document, you can still create bookmarks. You have two options. First is "Create Bookmarks from structure." This only works if your document was exported with tags/styles and not simply "print to PDF." You can check this by clicking the bookmarks submenu and choosing "New Bookmarks from Structure," Then look to see if any structural elements appear (see second image below- Structure Elements). If nothing appears, there is still one other option. You can manually add the bookmarks. It isn't quite that hard. The time it will take depending on the size of your document though. (for this option skip past these two images below.                                     Manually setting Bookmarks Although this is not automatic or document-wide, you simply highlight the text you would like to be the bookmark and hit the "New Bookmark" symbol (blue symbol in the image below). This will create a bookmark entry. In the bookmarks window you can drag these around if you like so that you can have an outline structure where the Chapter 1 bookmark might have sub-bookmarks as well.    Hope that helps! - Dax     ...
