Hi, In French typo, no-hyphenation on a left-aligned para! … So, never this kind of issue! … But let's imagine we do it! Even I totally like Susan's approach I consider as very clever, I don't like the global interference of the grep style here! So, I would use a "Test" para style with a nested line style, associated to a "Bold" char style [no "no-break" use]. And, as Uwe, I would use a script to find all the "Bold" words with hyphen [of course, it will just find one per para!] and apply a no-break to them (without using a specific char style). Even if not automatic! … var myDoc = app.activeDocument; app.findGrepPreferences = null; app.findGrepPreferences.findWhat = "\\H+"; app.findGrepPreferences.appliedParagraphStyle = "Test"; app.findGrepPreferences.appliedCharacterStyle = "Bold"; myWords = myDoc.findGrep(); var W = myWords.length, w; for ( w = 0; w < W; w++ ) if ( myWords .lines.length > 1 ) myWords .noBreak = true; app.findGrepPreferences = null; Best, Michel, from FRIdNGE
