The CMYK option had issues with various Pro OTF and WGL fonts - some of which have been addressed in more current releases. That sounds like a terrible workflow. To what purpose would one import FrameMaker files into CorelDraw? Note: I've been using both CorelDraw and FM for 25 years and wouldn't even dream of doing that. The errors that show in the initial posting are probably due to incomplete font embeddings (i.e. FM via Distiller only embeds a subset of the font to cover only the characters used in the document). It looks like the importing app (CorelDraw in your case) has a hard time dealing with a subset font. You can force full embedding of a font in Acrobat using third-party utilities like EnfocusPro and then either try importing PDFs or EPS files into CorelDraw. Alternatively re-consider what is trying to be accomplished by importing FM's ps files into CorelDraw and look at alternative applications for the end result. ... View more

All cross-refs will be updated when you update the document or book. Hypertext links just jump to a named destination in another (or same) document. If you want to pull larger chunks of content then you can use text insets (imported  by reference). Corinna, What program are you trying to import the postscript into? You should also ensure that the Distiller joboptions selected embed all fonts and fails if they are not embedded. Also, be aware that the postscript generated using the RGB option is different than the CMYK option (old Level 1 code from the unix version). Further, for importing into another application, you probably should have the Generate Acrobat Data turnedd off in the print dialogue a this adds a lot of superfluous code that an other application would not need. ... FrameMaker imports graphics with the background set to white by default. First try selecting the graphic and set the Fill to None. To create a text inset, you use the File > Import > File and select the file (and flow if an FM document) that you want to import. You also can specify if you want the imported content to take on the formatting used in the current document or to maintain the original formatting as seen in the source file. Importing  by reference allows you to maintain a link to the external file that can be updated as the document content changes and you need to update the generated components (essentially the same as doing a book update, except yo have to update each generated file individually).
