Have you tried what a user suggested earlier in the thread? Although it takes a little getting used to, it works for me perfectly. "Before to stop the playback press the key 0 (zero) of the keyboard and then you can stop the play (with the Space bar) without the cut in the timeline."

Premiere Pro CS6 (and CS5, and CS5.5) has serious issues/problems with the multicam feature that is broken as of right now (version 6.0.2) in Premiere CS6 and makes editing multicam a VERY frustrating experience and much less efficient compared to other NLE's. If its a design, then its flawed as yes, you can get around it and fix what you've done, but why should you have to keep wasting valuble time "fixing" things like this anyway? Just doesn't make sense. This is exactly the way I edited multicam in FCP and Avid, I live switched the multicam edit and then went back with the roll tool. It's not broken, it just doesn't work the way you want it to. What you are looking for is a global command equivalent for FCP's "gear down" behavior. With certain keystrokes, you could trim or move clips more slowly and precisely. This is what you really want, so I moved this post into the "Ideas" forum. Please upvote! Thanks, Kevin

Most pro editors seem to love the direction we're going in. We're in the software business, so we need new users to survive as a company. Adapting our tools to be more useful to newcomers is important to us, as we would like to keep them as customers. Hope that makes more sense to you.

Never needed to scroll vertically as I had custom layouts with a tiny canvas and max room for tracks in my list of shortcuts--same with window size.

Besides Premiere Pro CS5.5 and earlier, I don't think there's an NLE that doesn't allow you to select edits. So, as far as edit selection goes, you simply have to zoom in to an acceptable level. It's a fact of life for all NLE editors, I'm afraid.

There are associated minuses with edit point selection, gang. If you are a mouse-centric person, the key is to be in the right zoom level as you edit (as shooternz suggests). You can also use shortcuts to select next or previous edit points, as well as a toggle to move through the various ripple or roll options. tclark513 wrote: No...the one that was on top with the ends that curved down. Hi ViperJPB01, I tested this out on my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.6.8, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M, Core i7), and did encounter the same issue. However, on my PC (WIN7, 32 GB RAM, NVIDIA Quadro 4000), I did not encounter that issue. I'll investigate further.
