Yeah Ok. But inmy opinion that is not going to clear up the Missing file.   Also in you screen shot your F drive has 2 folder that have the exact same name except the L in lightroom and the P in pictures are different, one lower case the other upper case.   Do you actually have 2 Different folder on your F drive with those names.   There is a bug in LrC and I thought it was only on Mac but it could also be in Windows It called the Capitalization bug.   Also Since there is no more E drive, Not being seen by Windows your F drive might of gotten the E letter if you had not Manually Assign specific drive letters to those 2 drives. Well if it is not on the drive that failed you don't need to open any backup of that catalog. You do know the catalog file is just a Database file. There are No images stored IN Side the LrC catalog file.   Does LrC open? If it does then post a screen shot showing the full interface in the Library module with the Grid view ands the film strip showing.   If all your images were stored on the E drive I hope you have a backup copy of all of them.  The only thing that LrC Backs Up is the catalog file and as stated above that catalog does Not have any image included in it. In my option the numbers and options you are referring to, the Show Index Numbers in both the View Options and in the LrC Preferences under the Interface tab for the Film Strip, are Completely useless.   They change for whatever folder you are in, collection you have selected and for when you select All Photographs in the Catalog section.    I have all that turned off on my system as they have no purpose what so ever. Here are a couple of screen shots showing what I mean.   same image is selected. First screen shot is having a collection selected. Second is having "All Photographs" selected with the same image selected In the first the selected image is number 1. In the second that same image is number 4984. What good are those numbers? Ok Try this. In LrC Create a Collection. Name it something like Test Sync to Web. Select and place some images into that collection and then click the box to the left of that collection name , the box outline is hard to see but if you place your cursor over it it will change to the sync icon and then Click on it, to tell it to Sync with the web system.     Check that those images have synced up to the Web system and then down to LrM on your phone. you should see the Collection Name in the web and mobile system under Albums.     Does that all happen? ... I said in My Option. Both program can get really confused with what is happening. Say you import the same images into both programs. Then one want to upload them to the cloud system and the other then wants to download them. But they are already in the other program. Just typing the above gets confusing.   If you know how to run both at the same time I guess it is ok. Don't really know as I have never installed the desktop version. I only use LrC, the web system and the mobile app on my phone. I don't sync many images and only a few from my phones camera synced back down to LrC.   It is also my option to get ONE program, LrC, working correctly with the Web system and then make sure it is syncing to the mobile system on phone and pad and then the phone or pad working in the reverse direction. Or the same using the desktop version.   It is also my option that If you buy the Photography plan subscription the newer Lr Desktop Should NOT be available to you. Only trhe classic version, Ps and the mobile version of Lr be available. Simple, Really, Really. There IS NOTHING Hard about it. LrC Folder section.     Windows File Explorer.     Nothing hard about it. If you are using a Mac then you would use Finder. The Mac File Manager. But the screen shots are the same. One showing the LrC FOLDERS section with where LrC Knows where your images are and one of the File manager wherer YOU Think the files are.   My screen shots ahow the same drive and folder because I import my images properly.   You haven't imported properly and that is why you are confused.       Semplice, davvero, davvero.
