Jacob. I believe that font is actually Pheasant Plain Old_style, is it not? As an alphabet, Pheasant has a long and proud history. Some archaeologists credit it with being a forerunner to (and the place humankind got the idea for) the cuneiform writing system. --OB

The only other thing I can think of is that, for some reason, the PDF is treating your cutline as if it is also a mask. This will yield a double cutline (when brought back into Illustrator, at least); the cutline itself, and the mask shape in the same spot. Other than that, I have never had a pdf do this to me. When you say you create a cutline, How do you do it? Pen tool? Image trace? I ask because Image Trace will create (at lest) two objects, the white and the black, unless you set it to ignore white. This will result in a doubled line. --OB
