Thanks Monika and Jonnathan. While I realize the AE 3D thing is super cool, I want to just do a simple transition... I remember there being a way to place layers of Ai into PS, then tween the image sequence (I just forget how to do it)... and then I was just gonna pop that into AE and maybe do more effects later...

Sounds good - but how do you do that? On another note, I imported the Ai file into AE using dialog below, but how do I accurately animate the layers (and tween between for smoothness)? Do I have to change each AE layer opacity/sequence wise manually?

Well, in the main comp, I have one precomp (3 lines of text), which I assumed I could duplicate (and change the text)... apparently I need to copy the three text layers from the precomp, place in the main composition, then make a new precomp.... (Thanks for the Reply Dave!)

When I Duplicate a Pre Comp with 3 lines of Text, the original Text (from original Pre Comp) changes too... I dont know how else to do it, since I want to match specific timing/text effects on both groups of text.

My 5th Channel (Spot colour) fills in, but the rest of the image is closecut (transparent). Example: I have a photo of a Water Filter that I closecut. I then recreated it using a spot colour (plus black), however the spot colour (in this case blue) fills the entire image, rather than just being limited by the bounds of the 4 colour...

You could also autotrace a piece of whatever images you might have on your computer - basically a gradient with noise when autotraced will prodduce the chunky airbrush look.
