If you want to edit just the audio only choose select the clip, the choose "Clip" to edit the audio. That should dynamically update the audio in the chosen clip when you edit and save in Audition. If you want to "remix" the audio in Audition, then indeed choose Sequence. This will allow you to alter the audio in Audition to fit the video. This will not dynamically link. I believe you have to save the "remixed" audio and bring it into Premier.

I gave up on it. Don't use variable frame rates often. When I do - from clients' iphone - use Handbrake. No biggy. On a side note, maybe it's time to start a new thread. This one is getting old and large.

What MtD was saying: If you Alt-Drag a title while it's on the timeline, you can make a copy to insert elsewhere on the timeline. If you just drag the title from the Project panel to the timeline you can do that any number of time to put the same title more than once on the timeline. There is nothing to turn off.

In the timeline beside the name of your sequence are 3 small horizontal lines. Click on them, then click on "Start time" to insert your start time code.

...and not everyone has the problems you seem to have. My system is not dissimilar from yours and I do not have the problems you do. Somehow your setup or other software may be interfering with your setup - just a thought. Ranting won't fix your problems and may make you feel good for the moment, but if you are an editor use what works. You don't have to stick with Adobe products.

Why a frame rate of 12.5 and DV/DV NTSC (0.9091)? The latter does not give you square pixels. If you need to use a DV setting, make sure you choose Fill Frame in the export settings.

I have two monitors set up for Premiere. But I set them up in Windows first. Go to Control Panel (look up Display, I think - I am not at my editing computer to confirm) to set up dual monitors first. There may be other ways, but this way I have no problems.

From where are the videos? It's possible the audio if a variable frame rate. If so, use Handbrake to convert to a constant frame rate. You can check the frame rate from the tree view in MediaInfo [download it.]

Best way I know is to use AE with expressions and use them as "live text" in Premiere: e.g., live text: Use Live Text templates in Premiere Pro CC In AE I have made lower thirds with background boxes that use expressions to make the boxes similar in width (with some padding) as the text. If the text is longer, the boxes are longer, etc.

To my knowledge, the quality of your video depends largely upon the software settings for export. A monitor only shows what has been recorded, but the monitor should be properly calibrated to ensure you are seeing the correct colours, etc. How is you TV monitor connected to your computer? What are your export settings? Show a screen grab of those settings.
