I am using Adobe Illustrator CC 2015. I also use Adobe Indesign CC 2015. I have noticed that when I work on any document measuring 12 inches by 18 inches, single sheet, containing high resolution, linked files, it takes a long time to save the file on Illustrator. However, InDesign has a very high speed in saving such documents. I am comparing these software based on my observations on two machines which have i5 processors and NVIDIA graphic cards and 8 GB RAMs. How can I increase the speed of Illustrator's performance?

I am using cc 2015 version. I group my artwork, apply a new stroke to the group in the appearance panel, drag it down below the contents box in the panel, I then..... 1. add the effect - pathfinder - divide 2. then pathfinder - add 3. then pathfinder - outline. Then , I position these three in various orders to get what I want but it doesn't work out. Please help.

I made this effect in illustrator today (the one on the right). The shadowy rectangles are jpegs renders and the linework is pure vector pasted above the jpeg. However, I used the paint bucket tool for this composition to get the outer profile to make it thick then did the effect. However, if I draw some rectangles in illustrator, do a grouping, apply a new stroke in the appearance panel, drag it down the contents name, I get the effect. This however wasn't happening in the first image scenario where I have lots of blocks, the new stroke applied to the group was getting applied to all the lines and not the outer profile which is my requirement. The lines of the cuboids and cubes are all strokes, simple strokes without any fill. In the rectangular composition creation, I also met two conditions, one with contents option visible, a and one without. I want the outer profile method to work every time. What should I do? While making the outer lines as thick, I do a grouping

I used to have my illustrator toolbar separtated into two columns. Today I installed plugins from Astute, and they show up in my toolbars section making its height way more than my screen can fit. See the screenshot. This is causing me trouble in order to select options that are way below at the bottom of the toolbar. How can I resize my toolbar in maybe into 3 columns so that all buttons are easily visible and accessible ?

The official music videos and trailers on YouTube have a very sharp quality and a low file size. I want the same settings for exporting my videos such that the quality is the highest and the file size is the lowest. I shoot videos from my phone camera. It makes a 7-8 minute mp4 file video of 1GB file size. On the other hand, a very high quality youtube video of 720 p resolution of approximately 1 hour 15 minutes length has that file size. I was facing a slow photoshop cc2015 from the day I installed it (sorry, don't remember the version but in which a woman appears with blue fluid smoke on the startup screen with 25 years of photoshop written). I updated today (to the version 2015.1.2 - 64 bit) to see whether if it helps, but the situation is still the same. My photoshop cs5 (64 bit) stil works faster. I am also running all updated graphics drivers. My windows 8.1 (x64) is also updated. I am using i5 processor - 3230 CPU @ 2.60 GHz , 8GB RAM, Radeon HD 8570 2GB graphics. I also did the following settings as told by someone in this post only Preferences>Plugins>Enable Generator = OFF Preferences>Plugins>Allow Extensions to Connect to the Internet = OFF Preferences>Plugins>Load Extensions Panels = OFF Preferences->Technology Previews>Enable Design Space Preview = OFF My hosts file is 4.75 KB in size. But still the situation of slow photoshop cc 2015 remains the same. What should I do?

I'm using tapatalk app for android to manage all my forums. I was little amazed to see that Adobe forums are not tapatalk compatible. Does adobe has plans to make this forum tapatalk compatible. I have a pdf that is made of scanned pages and have text recognition [ocr has been done on them]. The pages are too bright and light, therefore a little hard to read. Whenever I need to print some pages of my pdf file I extract the jpg, darken it in Photoshop and then print it. Is there a way so that the pdf has all the images darkened and OCR preserved within Acrobat X so that I don’t have to darken pages individually one by one taking hours and get enhanced pdf in a short period of time? Im using windows 7 64 bit

I have a pdf file that I got from somewhere. It is very peculiar, when it opens, the menu bar [that contains file, edit, view ] options disappears and so does the toolbar below it that has got tools and comment options. How should I edit it in adobe acrobat so that it opens like normal pdf file and doesn’t mess with menu bar. ? it is been doing like this in adobe readers having previous versions too. I have adobe reader x now. adobe acrobat pro version is X too.
