Direct RAW import for Lightroom Mobile is a BIG step in the right direction to improve the tablet workflow. What is REALLY needed now is a point to point transfer of the photos from Mobile to Desktop. Right now I use the camera connection kit and the iPad Photos app to temporarily store and triage my RAW photos. When I get back to the iMac I use Photosync to wirelessly transfer only the photos I need to the Mac hard drive. My iPad 2 and new iMac and Airport Extreme router all have 802.11AC wireless so the transfer is SUPER fast and no need for USB cables. Also, for me the MAIN problem with editing on the iPad is the non calibrated screen. I may use Mobile in the future when keywording and all the the adjustments are available and do final color work on the calibrated screen but NOT without PTP transfer.

The 18-200 is NOT a super sharp lens. A lot of compromises were made to get that zoom range in a consumer (inexpensive) lens. For a zoomed in screen clip the last one you posted looks pretty good for that lens.

I have to agree with the OP about his ORIGINAL topic about being able to import just JPG or RAW if the camera took JPG+RAW. It would be easy to have JPG/RAW filters in the import dialog to show either JPG/RAW or both formats. The only JPG/RAW option is to "Treat jpg files next to raw files as separate photos" in Preferences. As a side question, what exactly is the purpose and use of a JPG sidecar file? I would be happy to have someone explain how they use them.

When I seen your screen clip showing the prebuilt presets in the Develop Preset folder I was hoping Adobe finally pulled them out of their hiding place and I could just delete them. If you find the location on Windows let me know and I will search some more on my Mac.

On my Mac the Lightroom Develop Presets folder only contains a User Presets folder I created and the two presets I created. The pre-built are somewhere else.

Thats exactly where the command in preferences takes me but they are ONLY user defined presets. I remember a thread on the built in presets on the Mac from awhile back and they were hidden away somewhere. Not a big deal for me but thanks for all your diligent help anyway. I see the OP is on Windows so I won't be much help

I did that on the Mac. That folder just shows the User Presets and not the built in like you show, even with show hidden files turned on. I will have to do some searching unless someone knows where they are hidden. Not a big deal but I am tired of them taking up space.

Even the built in presets are gone and I don't think the built in presets are located there so that shouldn't solve the problem. I wish the built in presets were located there as I would erase about 90% of them. Adobe should give the user a way to get rid of the built in presets as most of them are worthless for many users.

You probably accidentally hit the "J" key which is the shortcut to turn the clipping indicators on and off. Getting rid of ALL the clipping is not necessarily good for all your photos as some photos look better with some highlight/shadow clipping, especially shadow. If they looked good when you edited them than this is probably the case. Depend more on your creative eye than Lightrooms clipping indicators. See here for more info on the clipping indicators. You are not having the same problem!! What you are seeing is the highlight clipping indicator. Click the triangle with the square around it in the upper corner of the histogram to turn the indicator off.

Lightroom 6 can not do focus stacking. It can do HDR and Panoramas. Hopefully focus stacking will be in a future upgrade. I used a plugin called Lr/Enfuse (Google it) for my landscape focus stacking/exposure blending but since I upgraded to Lrcc I now use Photoshop. Lr/Enfuse worked well for landscapes but I don't know how well it would work for microscope stacking. There are several dedicated focus stacking programs that may be better.

As Adobe has recompiled their code with Apples Xcode 7 using Apples API's the problem MAY lie with bugs/changes in Apples software causing the problem. As an Apple user I know for SURE that Apple QC has been extremely poor for the last couple years and is still going downhill and they have BROKE many things for no reason at all. No matter where the problem is, it should be Adobes responsibility to investigate the problem and fix it if it is their problem or work with Apple to correct the the problem. Everyone shouldn't have to buy new printers, debug this on their own, reedit all their photos or run older software (what happens when the old software quits working on a new OS) The prints should come out the SAME. I can't imagine how this is affecting Pros trying to keep their prints the same.

Try menu EDIT/SELECT NONE and then select one photo and export. If it still exports more than one than I would restart Lightroom and try and if that doesn't work that reset the preferences.

Actually CR2 file format changes with every version of a new camera. You can use the DNG converter from Adobe to convert your CR2 files to a format Lr5 will use but I personally DO NOT want to convert to DNG.

‌Adobe has NEVER updated previous versions of Lightroom for new cameras. If you want to use RAW instead of DNG (I don't convert to DNG as I think it is a bad idea) you will have to upgrade To Lr6.5.

‌Your dropdown are megapixels, not pixels and long edge. The dialogs have to be EXACTLY the same You need to change ALL the dialogs as i have posted in the screenshot.

In general, just forget about resolution and ppi as they are meaningless most of the time. . These settings will work for a website or social media. Just change the "1000 pixels" to a size of your choice and leave the other stuff alone. Others may have different ideas but these have worked for me.
