Good to hear you've got a workaround for the preset creation issue (I thinki that's effectively the method I suggested in my "Issue 1" notes earlier, using another application, like TextEdit or in your case Preview, to create the preset).  However, in my experience, although the presets can be created this way, it was still a bit of a lottery whether the correct ICC profile would be used from the preset, when you select it and click Print (as a result of the other issues).  I'd be interested to know if you get 100% success, just by choosing your preset (without first selecting the Default Settings and saving, as per my "Issue 3" notes), as that's really the most significant issue here... the somewhat random selection of the wrong ICC profile when printing from LrC, resulting in the colours being incorrect.  The rest of the issues can be largely worked around. ... Adding HSL Masking sliders as an alternative to the color point selector in color range mask, simillar to HSL Secondary in Lumetri/Premire Pro.    The color range is a great tool, but when batch editing shots where the color point moves it isn't ideal. Just using RESET may not get you back to the image without the import settings being applied.  RESET just resets the image to the imported state.  There are two  included presets in LrC and one sets the image to Adobe Default and is called ADOBE DEFAULT and is located in the Default preset section.  I placed this in Favorites and turned off the Default section.  The other is Zeroed and it is in the Classic-General preset section.  This sets all sliders to zero. ... Ok, I'm not getting this. I use CR2 and CR3 files and run them through Denoise. The new file is xxx-Enhanced-NR.dng. The suggestion hereis  to use "Preserved Filename" but that is set to the "Enhanced" name. The original xxx.CR3 name is gone. I don't see any option to hardcode or use a regex to remove parts of the name, only to insert. Can someone PLEASE post a solution that works with these dmg files? Or better yet, can someone from Adobe give us naming options? I can choose to show a flourish in the Lightroom window but I can't control file names. Crazy. ... View more

The obvious way the lock tool on aspect ratio should work is that it STAYS locked on that aspect ratio until the user unlocks it, regardless of the image you're editing. In other words, it shouldn't even need to be synced across other photos. The crop tool has NEVER worked correctly, and I've used every version of Liughtroom. As far as I can tell, the lock means nothing and has no predictable behavior other then to reset itself when you need it to stay the same.  ... View more

By @Chrisn N   Actually, if the double exposure is a raw file, it might be worth trying the new window reflection removal feature currently available for Technology Preview testing in Adobe Camera Raw 17. Adobe trained AI to recognize the difference between a subject and window reflections in front of it in the same image, separating them into two clean images. That technology might help separate the two images in an in-camera double exposure. Using LR Classic 14.1.1 on MacBook Pro 15.1.1 with 64 GB sometime in the last couple of updates I noticed two things. First, the right arrow wouldn't advance in Develop module and oftentimes, the image had not been updated from the pruor edits. Once I went back to Library and advanced the images, often the edit history would not be applied or there was a noticeable lag - the original raw image displaying and then the edits would be applied.  A good percentage of the time, I would have to go back and click on the history to update the image in the Develop module. Once the edits were applied from the history, the right and left arrows worked in the develop module.   It may be that the R & L arrow problem in the Develop module is due to a disconnect in finding and applying the edit history. ... It's unusual not to have a borderless option. What printer are you using?   If you send other people an image without any borders then that is what they will see on their screens, but you can't "bake in" borderless printing to an image you send to others. How a recipient chooses to print your photo is up to them and the capabilities of their printer.   ... anyone still having this error. i have it running  Mac OS and latest version of LRC.  in fac.  Weirdly in filmstrip when i filter for 5 stars then the 5 star photos show up so they system knows they are five stars, but for some reason is not showing to me.  makes editiing of a shoot difficult as i can see which similar photos I have alreayd marked 5.  has anyone found a fix?   ... Hi Bob - question for you:    In LrC 14.1.1, I go to Library > Metadata > Customize > Customize Metadata Default Panel, and am able to check the Preserve File Name box. So the next time I went to import new images, upon import, I went to Apply During Import > Metadata > New OR Edit Presets - and either way, the Preserve File Name doesn't come up as an option. What am I missing here? Is there a different way to be sure the original filename is accessible on renamed images (whether done during import, edits, or export)?    In case it's helpful, I import IMG_1234.cr2 images, and export them as ABC-1.jpg, ABC-2.jpg. Lightroom V6, windows 11. Email was working for years. It stopped. I fixed, but don't know how. It stopped working 1 to 2 months ago. Three email accounts (all work outside of LR) are validated. None work. Failed to send everytime. I have spent hours (too many) scouring the interernet and forums. this is an important feature for me. It must work.
