Add Conversation Type called Notes

  • October 21, 2022

In the community pages, along with Featured, Discussions, Bugs, Ideas, and Announcements, add another one, one only posted into by Admin or Moderators, called Notes

In Notes place information on:

  • Contacts
  • Cautions/Warnings (do not do this, etc)
  • Known problems
  • Known workarounds
  • Links to new features, what is fixed, etc (something better than what is in Announcements, many do not read)
  • Links to important community postings, like FAQ, How to behave, how to post, etc
  • Planed improvements

@Pattie-F, technically all those useful links are in the Discussions

I agree that they should have their own separate section 🙂 (though I'm not sure about the title)

These documents, Photoshop Handy Links and Lightroom Handy Links are updated frequently and contain links to user guides, newsletters, quick tips, feature info, what's fixed, known issues and workarounds, troubleshooting links, and answers to community and account questions.

As Jane-e mentioned, we also have regular newsletters for several apps that contain feature explanations, news, blog links, tutorials, and other useful info. Here are links to those home pages:

Photoshop |  Lightroom | Lightroom Classic | Illustrator | InDesign | Premiere Pro | After Effects

In the community, there is a resource area to the right with links to many of these and other resources:

If you're referring to NOTES in the Ideas & Bugs sections, those are for Adobe Staff member's internal use.

Are you thinking of something along the lines of the Newsletters posted every month or two by staff in the Photoshop and InDesign forums? I find these to be a fantastic resource! Here are the links to the home pages for each so you can read a few of the issues.
