Hello there! I'm relatively new to this community, but have been using Creative Cloud products for a while now. Thought I'd join in to help others, share my experiences and hopefully be able to gain some networking and make new friends in return.I'm a UK based creative, working on a variety of digital and print marketing campaigns from design to fruition. I also work on the radio in the UK, both on-air and behind the scenes in production/admin. There's more about my work here: www.ianpinnell.co.uk.I regularly use Adobe InDesign, Audition and Photoshop. I also occasionally use Illustrator and Premier Pro, which is something I'm starting to learn.Anyway, hope to network with you all soon and thanks for having me.
Hello all...Our production process is quite transparent. We do an entrance call prior to starting production to flesh out ideas with clients. We follow with a storyboard to make sure they are clear on what we are going to do. The client signs off on this. We produce the video and stay true to what we said we would do and do it with high quality. Despite this, we have a handful of clients who view the finished product, have a different idea, and request revisions that means re-making the entire video. We have started charging a flat rate for our videos which includes 1 minor revision. Anything over that we charge our hourly editing fee. What is everyone else doing? Open to suggestions. Thanks!Shelley
Power hungry creative professionals must drink from “Coffee Lake.” That watering hole is the name for the Intel i9 processor which was introduced earlier this month.Apple has not been publicly open about what’s under the hood of their new high-end 15” MacBook Pro model. We have a long list of things to press our Apple colleagues about, but the people who back wire technology say the i9 is at the heart of the new best-of-brand Apple laptop. Why does a creative professional need to know the technical specifics of what Apple is selling and HP has announced that they have in the works? For the most part, he/she just needs to do great work. However, knowledge will always be power. And, unless you know what’s happening with your hardware needs, you’re somewhat powerless: a bad (and often irresponsible) place to be.We tend to think of Apple, Canon, Cisco, Epson, HP, Nikon, Sony, Wacom, Yamaha, etc. as these big suppliers of cool creative hardware essentials, which drive the foundation of the t

In the old days, before this version of Jive, when someone posted a response the person who last posted was listed. It was kinda nice because you could follow the thread by seeing who was contributing help. Everyone had different opinions about this NEW version, of course, and it has been so many years it really hardly matters anymore.EXCEPT, for example, with what appears to be some house cleaning effort ( thank goodness I suppose) on the part of a STAFF member ( KM ) whereupon the first 100 posts in the PPro forum are now effectively a sort of barrage of life buoys thrown into the ocean to save ( and hence clean up the debris ) those posts which for one reason or another have languished over time with a lack of activity. It's like, coming back from an Around-The-World trip, KM happened to come by the residual bobbing heads of Titanic victims, and threw out life saving donuts with various shouts of, " AHOY THERE, ARE YOU ALRIGHT ? DO YOU NEED HELP ? CONTACT ADOBE SUPPORT ! TRY A DIFFER
this morning i received a strange "test email" from Adobe Systems <adobeemea@info.adobesystems.com>anyone knows what is that?

Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes, just gave birth to a gazillion turtles ! The mommy turtles come out of lake, come up close to your patio or porch, dig a hole, lay their eggs, cover up hole, and mosey back to the lake. Most baby turtles come out of the ground ( after a couple months ) and something in their DNA or whatever prompts them to go to the lake where their mom came from. Some, possibly stupid, turtles move to the FRONT of your property or house, where there is a ROAD, and try to cross the road to some weird turtle destination which no human on earth understands. This is when they can geta) squished by carsb) stuck on melting road.I called the local Turtle experts and asked what I can do to rescue these misguided turtles. They said, " Pick them up and help them across the road to the other side."Apparently they have a one track mind, like many humans I know, and if you put them back to the lake they will just turn around when you go away and go to the road again.: )[titl

Networking is key to be successful....So let's share our Adobe Portfolio Sites and Behance Pages..... Get to know each other better!I will start...Adobe Portfolio -https://kennshinabery.myportfolio.com/ Behancehttps://www.behance.net/kennshinabery
A few weeks ago, we heard some entertainment news of a famous actress/spokesperson embarking on a somewhat risky TV series role. She’s a multimillionaire. It’s not as if she needs the money. Some “handlers” surely told her it wasn’t a good idea. But she did it anyway. We have to (love to) read brand manuals for hotels and restaurants. They’re big books which offer “suggestions” (or demands) on how the franchisees of those multimillion dollar operations should conduct business. Such manuals get into everything from guest safety to long lists of the coffees, teas, and whiskeys which have to be available. We love food & beverage (F&B) and watch way too many cooking shows. It’s very creative stuff. We love to hang out with chefs, bartenders, and food service managers. They are a cross between the world’s most brilliant creative minds and astute business managers.Brand manuals, for the world’s top hotels, are pretty much Adobe Classroom in a Book for making something really cool
Hi,I've seen some people sell digital photography prints on etsy with great success but I'm wondering about which cameras/specs work best so that buyers can blow up the image to a great size and not lose focus. I know you should have a SLR camera but I think I was thinking of getting a mirrorless for certain travel photography and was after minimum specifications? Thanks!
I like the new Timeline feature in Windows 10. I don't tend to go looking up what comes with a new build, so when I used Windows key — Tab, and the screen became filled with all recent activity, I wondered what was happening. You find files you opened and the app you opened them with, websites visited, and going back to the 31st of May as I type this. If you have not found it yet, give it a go.https://pureinfotech.com/windows-10-redstone-4-version-1803-new-features/ If you have a favourite new feature, I'd love to know what it is.
At 67 I decided to say hello and (since I am playing golf and sliced into another county behind giant green frog on miniature golf course) decided to take a moment to say hello. After all, it will take me all day to get back to the fairway I left, and might as well take it easy. I miss a lot of people who helped me a lot over the past years to use stuff like cs6 suite. Dreamweaver I had before Abode bought it. I would never go to a subscription service, so that was the end of that. Can you imagine doing pro work and waiting for a validation on location to work with a client paying real money to get stuff done immediately, with hundreds of people on the clock ? I doubt it.I'm amazed Adobe has survived as long as it has. This forum used to show who posted last (so you could follow conversations quickly) but that changed too. Now you only see who posted the original mssg. A lot of people left the forums because of that little screw up.I recall watching an America's Cup race here on this fo
This is going to be a long question! But only because I want to be detailed enough, so someone can help. I'm still relatively new to after effects. God bless, if you can help me please!! It's funny because I actually solved my issue, but I'm trying to recreate it and I can't anymore.I'm trying to create an animation where the the layer "dreams" is underneath the i's, and is masked by the i's, so all you see is just remnants of the "dream" layer underneath. (This is my example, I had actually made, but I lost this version and when creating it, it doesn't work. However now when I recreate it this is what I getNotice in my first screenshot it was the track matte was set to Luma inverted matte, and this one is too.I just don't know how to mask well, please help me. I'm applying to my school's BFA program, and I really want to wow, the board of directors.
This stopped me in my tracks at the local DIY store today. Warning possibly graphic content after the image.Last warning. Don't read on if offended by animal stuff. What we are seeing in the image above is a hunter's truck with boxes for his dogs on the back, and this mornings catch on top. I once came across a similar sight on a boat ramp — there are lots of wild boar and goats on the mountains around the Marlborough Sounds. The men had a tiny aluminium pontoon boat like below — again, with boxes for the dogs, and a big pig tied across the bow.I couldn't see any guns, and I had not lived here long, and was a bit green about local customs, so I asked them how they hunted the pigs. Apparently the dogs track and pin down the pigs, and the hunters catch up and dispatch with knives. I was, and still am, truth be told, a lot more upset about the injuries the dogs receive from the boar's tusks. They can be ferocious, and are generally much bigger than
I'm pretty sure it will work thank you Jane and everyone to come to my resue.
