Hello! To elaborate - I'm working on a CD artwork, and I'd like to upload all the designs as PDFs. This is the first time I've done work on these documents on the computer I'm on now, and when I went to save my Illustrator file to a PDF after some new edits, I got a message that the font Myriad-Roman would not embed because of licensing restrictions. Where there used to be some text in the template, there is now just a bunch of gibberish. I'm at a loss, because the font is not something I've placed in the document, it's a font that was part of the template I'm working with from disc makers. I don't know how to fix the issue, or how to get around it. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

I understand tat Typekit fonts should be available in Muse. But when I choose 'text / webfonts / add webfonts' in Muse I can't find a specific font (that is FF Netto web) in the interface that pops up. It is available on the Typekit site however...Anyone knows why this happens?Thank you!

I've happily used ATM Deluxe 4.1 (build 243) with Windows XP SP3 for many years and am about to upgrade to Windows 7. Has anyone successfully (re)installed ATM under W7? (32 or 64 bit) I'd like to continue using ATM, rather than going to a 3rd party font manager & recreated my various font sets.Intel Core Duo CPU @ 3 GHz + 4 GB RAM; NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT video card.
I'm trying to print vinyl letters for a gallery I'm a member of and love the Cronos Pro regular font. i've designated this for desktop use and created 24 name files at 200pt. The person working with the vinyl asked if I could 'convert to outline' possibly to make the font a bit larger, I don't really know. When I tried to do this, I found that choice grayed out on the type menu. I am wondering if this means the Typekit fonts 'designated for desktop use' simply do not have the permission to be 'converted to outline'.
Does anyone know where I can find a Type 3 font (the .afm and .pfb) in the Garamond typeface with all 4 styles (normal, bold, italic and bold italic)? Thanks!
For years now I've been using a program called AMP Font Viewer. It temporarily installs fonts onto the operating system upon request, and removes them upon quitting the program. It is super beneficial when you work on multiple projects with various typefaces, because the program allow the operating system to stay clean of project font files, keeping programs' loading time to a minimum, in a clean operating environment. Before CC, this program worked perfectly while Adobe's programs were running.CC, however, is preventing this program from running properly. When attempting to use AMP Font Viewer, the mouse cursor becomes a spinning loading icon, AMP Font Viewer goes ghostly white, and is unable to perform its job.To regain the control of installing temporary font files, I must kill all Adobe apps, i.e. Creative Cloud Client, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc. (but not necessarily background services). For me this issue is a major setback and an unpleasant surprise.I urge Adobe to avoid from lock
If I buy the font folio, can I use ' ITC AVANT GARDE' FONT in commercial in perpetuity? And if so, can I get any document work which includes 'Adobe give permission of use the font in commercial' or anything for guarantee our use?
If I use a desktop font from Typekit in an InDesign file and then convert that file to a PDF with Acrobat Pro, will that font be embedded in the PDF and available to all who look at PDF even if they are not CC subscribers? Thanks.Howard
I have a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud.I see a Fonts section on my CC app, but the adobe font I want isn't listed (Avenir LT Std).Must I purchase this?(I'm editing a document created in this font)Thanks,Amber
I have Myriad MM on my Macbook Air running Mavericks OSX 10.9.2. It works fine.I have validated the font with Font Book, and it says they are all ok.I have then tried to export the font with Font Book, and it gives me what appears to be a correct folder called "Myriad MM" with a font suitcase called "Myriad MM."I have copied that folder to the hard drive (Desktop) of my iMac running the same Mavericks OSX 10.9.2.When I open Font Book and use "Add Fonts" and select the Myriad MM folder I get an Error box for Font Validation that says:"Problems may have been found with some fonts during validation. Please review the reported problems before continuing."Under each of the Myriad Mm fonts it says "'FOND' font association usability."I did a Safe Restart and that did not seem to help.Any ideas? I need to use this font on my iMac!

A long time ago I owned and operated a small book publishing company and we licensed a bunch of fonts. Due to some very unique circumstances, the machines were mothballed and put in storage and ignored for nearly a decade. However, I am now in the position of needing to pull up documents and so forth from disks that no longer run ...ect .. and so forth. I'd like to link the set of licensed fonts to my current machine/id or else resurrect the old id. Any suggestions?thanks.
Hello,We have a copy of Adobe Font Folio purchased years ago, and the Adobe Type Basics folder on nthe disk contains no .pfm files, so we can't install those fonts. Is there a way to get the .pfm files from Adobe?
We are trying to use opentype fonts for general document editing in Word, but I found that the Word PDF save function does not render opentype fonts with postscript outlines (ie, the standard Adobe fonts), resulting in bitmapped text in the PDF. After a long discussion with Microsoft, it seems that Word supports only opentype fonts with truetype outlines. I've confirmed that this is the case with some opentype/truetype fonts but the complying fonts I've found are rubbish.Does anyone know if Adobe sells opentype/truetype fonts? Or would it be easier to convert our existing Adobe fonts using FontLab or TransType? Thanks
I want to set Warnock Pro Light as my default font (in Word and InDesign). However, when I use it and hit the keyboard command for Bold, it doesn't change to the semibold weight as I would expect--and as other fonts I have do. I hope someone here might be able to give me some insight into why this might be for this particular font. Thanks in advance.
We purchased the Myriad Pro font from Adobe for use in our mobile applications, web as well in general in our company. We have used this font successfully for years. Including in earlier versions of our iPhone and Android applications. However, with Apple's release of iOS 7 the font itself isn't showing up properly and it is a problem with the font itself. Apple has changed how this font is being handled or as they may describe it they are no longer correcting for the font in the same way. They no longer handle the "linegap" property "ascender" and "decender" elements the same way. Though Apple may describe it as they are not correcting for this font as they did previously in earlier iOS versions. There is more discussion on this webpage and we have even attempted to modify the font ourselves using techniques shown on this webpage with some limited success: http://tinyurl.com/6drlln3Though we shouldn't be modifying the font ourselves since we aren't
Hi,I need to select a few fonts for our client to choose from that can be legally embedded into their software for distribution. After reading this article:http://blogs.adobe.com/jlockman/2011/06/06/fonts-and-where-can-i-use-them/it sounds like there is an Adobe 'Font Folio Select' that contains fonts we can use but I can't find any information about where to get hold of it.I have spent hours hunting for fonts we can legally use and read lots of EULAs and still have no idea what fonts are available to developers!Any help would be greatly appreciatedThanks
The top menu bar and the panels are showing the wrong font in all of the applications. The submenus are fine. I needed to remove another application, and I'm guessing it took the required font(s) with it. Is there an easy fix to get those menu fonts back? I'm using Windows 7.Thanks!Chuck
Well, as the question suggests, I am trying to figure out if you get a full version of Typekit with your CC subscription (monthly) or the trial version and have to purchase a separate subscription (yearly) for Typekit. Nowhere that I can find is this specifically answered at Adobe.com. And no one at Adobe seems to be sure (talked to 6 people today and got a variety of answers and transfers to other departments). While I have you, I also wanted to know if the fonts through Typekit are imbedded in your web project and upload with the project to your webspace or does the website have to draw the font from Adobe.com? If anyone has a link to a thorogh explanation of Typekit (not the Adobe one), I would love to read more about it. Review article? In our situation we are using an outside vendor to create a website. We will host it but want to remain completely legal regarding type. Does the vendor have to have a Typekit subscription (or included in their CC subscription depending on the answer
hi, i just found a character miss-match in the font "garamond premier pro" regular (italic = fine).it´s the symbol PHI (U+03C6) and the letter phi (U+03D5) they are mixed up. i know there are several variant forms of the symbol "phi" - but they should be consistant in one fontfamily.
Hi,I just downloaded and installed the Sonata Standard OpenType file via FontBook in MacOS 10.9.2. So far the font is not working correctly in either MS Word or Apple Keynote -- I get standard qwerty letters rather than musical notation. Anyone ideas on how to fix/troubleshoot?Thanks!
Back in 2003 or 2004, I purchased the Hrabanus Type 1 font from Adobe. I registered the font and have the purchase and serial number in my account (although I don't know which one it was, as I bought a handful of fonts and all the list shows in my account is the date and the serial number, not the name). This was an early Type 1 font that only gave the .afm file, the .inf file, and the .pfb file.I've upgraded to Windows 7, and I cannot install this font on my machine. Right-clicking on the .inf file provides an option to install, but nothing happens when I do that.In my searches online, I've found that in order to install the font in Windows 7, I need the .pfm files (which the old Type 1 fonts used to build at the time they were installed, so they didn't include them).A discussion in the forum from 2012 indicates that Adobe is committed to supporting these old font purchases, here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1056745Does anyone know how I go about getting the .pfm files for this
