Hello, I just wanted to check with you pro's to see if my rig is up to the job.I am new to Premier and i'm experiencing really slow performance when trying to edit even short videos. Basically, I have footage filmed on the DJI Mavic 2 (4k), when I add a few clips to my sequence, playback is very jittery. This makes editing almost impossible for me.I tried changing my sequence to 1080p and downscaling the 4k footage but this didn't make much different. Hi - I'm building a new machine for my Creative Cloud Suite - upgrading from an i7 machine to i9 9900K. I originally bought an M.2 NVMe drive for the operating system - but reading a few notes on line suggests that I'd be better putting my new Samsung 860 SSD as Windows 10 operating system and using the M.2 drive as the Project Files drive. Any comments / advice on that please ? - eg how critical is the Project Files drive read/write speeds during processing in Premiere Pro?.Just for info - I'm adding a 1TB SSD Samsung 860 Media Cache drive for all media I'm working on in the project (live) and sticking to HDD for large Media store offline.RAM will be 64GB Corsair 3200 DDR4

The list of recommended graphics cards provided by Adobe is quite out of date. Nearly all the GeForce cards are no longer on the market. My current graphics card was never on that list, it is the GeForce GTX 760, and this is why (according to Adobe Support) I get the dreaded "Error code: -1609629695" on a regular basis. It happens almost every time I use the Lumetri Color effect (and other effects) - which is often. So, I want to replace my graphics card. I want something that can do some of the heavy lifting, especially now that I'm dealing with 4K footage more and more often.I have recently contacted Adobe Support asking for an updated list, and was directed to this forum. hi, I'm currently using a 2009 Macbook Pro (MacBookPro5,5), and I'm curious which version of Premiere would be optimal for this computer. it only has 4 GB RAM and 10.11.6 on it. Hello, I am looking to build a workstation PC for 4k video editing as well as advanced color grading and After Effects. I was initially aiming for a new RTX 2070 since it was within the budget but I found out a good deal on an GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition, 200$ cheaper than 2070. The performance difference is quite similar(in Premiere Pro & DaVinci Resolve), so which one would you go with?My main concern is how long would it last in a video & color grading rig, with moderate use, no overcklocking, stock.. etc. From tests I've seen, PP and Resolve are not using the GPU as much as I thought, even when working with 4k footage. It's only when encoding and using a lot of effects stacked with intense grading there is noticeable performance gains. I won't have a lot of projects requiring such an aggressive use of effects, but when I do I want a smooth performance and also future proofing my rig.So, would it good idea to go for the used 1080 Ti? I realize in the long run going with the 7740x gives me a chipset with more support, but looking into synthetics it seems the 5960x is a better CPU overall. Hello there, I am currently in the process of building a laptop for multimedia and productivity purposes, with the most storage-sensitive application I will running is likely Premiere. I will mostly be using graphic design software (Photoshop, Illustrator) and basic 3d sketching software for set plans as part of my job, however I will be working on music videos (1080p) in my spare time and wont be going near 4k/long projects for quite a while. So here are my thoughts/questions:1) The Laptop I am building has 3 drive bays available, 1 x 2.5" SATA & 2 x M.2 (Nvme ready) slots. I have seen the puget systems article and video relating to the 2015 edition of P-Pro and that a 3 drive setup is optimal - is this still the case?2) I am having to be quite budget conscious so i cant go getting a 4tb ssd and two 1tb nvme's - which would obviously be ideal. I've had my 7900X system for well over a year now, and I am still using the GTX970 I bumped from my old system because I didn't want to spend dollars for a new card that might soon be superseded.  Truth be told, I am not seeing noticeable performance issues, but I spend a lot more time with Photoshop than Premiere Pro, and the Puget Systems tests do not seem to indicate massive advantages with newer cards for Photoshop at least.  But it is starting to feel crazy spoiling the ship for a ha'porth of tar, so I am finally going to replace the aging GTX970. I can't justify a really high end RTX card, but I want to see a worthwhile improvement, so I am thinking RTX 2070.    What I don't understand is the difference between different manufacturers?  So the only criteria I can think to apply is looking for a card with similar outputs to my current card so I can use the same cables. Hello,I have an older PC (maybe 5 years old) and want to buy a new one or upgrade this current one because whenever I use dynamic link from Character Animator to Premiere Pro, I get about 1 frame every 10 seconds when I try to composite a scene. I don't mind having to work with the lowest settings on playback, but I would like it to play at a decent frame rate. First question, which drive is best to render to, the same drive as the project? Next questions, I have:OS/Programs on a fast EVO Pro M.2 I have another even faster EVO Pro M.2 but I'm trying to save that for 360 Virtual Tours. I've thought about using this for scratch/cache but I'm not sure if the performance boost is worth wearing that drive out (should I be worried about that?)Projects/assets on an SSDScratch/cache on a different SSDI have room for another M.2. When I get this 3rd M.2 should I put projects/assets on this or keep them on SSD and use it for cache/scratch?Please don't refer me to another website. I'm so crunched for time. I am currently upgrading my 2009 Mac Pro.  I would like to use Premiere Pro running Mojave so I need a metal compatible graphics card.  What do people think of Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8G GDDR5?  Some forums are suggesting Nvida would be better for Premiere, but they don't have drivers for Mojave.Any other suggestions?Thank you.

Hey, recetly I bought Asus ROG GL703GE, and I noticed my main video card is nvidia uhd 630.tried to updating bios, and in the bios section i have "video configuration" set to grey, and only 64mb selected. I tried updating drivers, went to nvidia control pannel and set it to 1050gtx ti and max performances, but it still using my intel graphics for some reason. Im very upset, I can't edit normal and using the 1050gtx for rendnering/playback. Also the 1050gtx ti usage is 0% on windows when im editing/rendering. Please let me know how to fix this

Hi!I recently made a system configuration with:- ASRock X470 Master SLI motherboard, wich has 1 x Ultra M.2 Socket and 1 x M.2 Socket - 1 x SSD M.2 Intel 660p Series 512GB- 1 x SSD M.2 HP EX900 250GBMy purpose was to install the HP EX900 SSD (wich is faster: 2100 MB/s read and 1300 MB/s write) in the Ultra M.2 Socket, as a system drive.And the Intel 660p SSD was going to be installed in the M.2 Socket to run as a work drive for Premiere - projects 'm working on and Premiere's cache files.Now i have second thoughts... should i change them between each other?I mean system SSD on M.2 Socket, and work SSD on Ultra M.2 Socket?How is better?

Over the years, I've been tracking in a draft post render times for the first 10 minutes of a conference video.  It takes in two HD streams, resizes them with some voice and renders. It's not typical of anything, but I still track it cause I can.Thought I would share since I just ran another one on the new MacBook Pro Core i9 with the built in AMD Radeon Pro Vega 20 and also running with the AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 EGPU (BlackMagic Pro).Spoiler: Pretty impressed with BlackMagic Pro EGPU.
