Acrobat Reader

I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and can't get pdf files to print? Can't you help me to get them to print?[Moved from Acrobat General Troubleshooting to Acrobat Reader by moderator].

I recently downloaded Acrobat Reader DC in order to view and fill documents with drop down menus. The first instance I used the program, it worked great; however, the second time I booted the program, the drop down menus were much larger and more finicky to select. I reinstalled the program, and the same situation happened, second time booting the program yielded the same results. How do I fix this??? The picture on the top is the first boot and the bottom is the second boot.

Hi, Abode PDF Reader is using the printer properties (DS.jpg) instead of printer preferences (SS.jpg). I have been unable to find where I can change the properties setting. So far, it's only Adobe PDF Reader I'm having this issue with. I'm using Windows 11 on a Dell Optiplex and a Brother MFC-J4440DW printer. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,I'm currently embedding an iframe in a website with the following url.https://docs.google.com/viewerng/viewer?url=urltopdffile.pdfI'm passing in the pdf url to the viewer as a variable.Googles viewer doesn't have the overprint preview feature that is required. Currently, you'd have to download the pdf file, open in adobe and turn on overprint preview which defeats the purpose of displaying the file online.Does Adobe have an online viewer where a url could be passed into the adobe viewer?Is there any other online viewer that can do this, that has overprint preview enabled or is this feature specific to adobe?

When text is added to a pdf using Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat X Pro version 10.0 will not read the text, ie., the added text does not show up at all. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC does read the text, however. Most of our company computers all have Adobe Acrobat X Pro version 10.0. What do we need to do to resolve this issue?

When you install Adobe Reader 32 bit on a 64 bit operating system computer, it is always automatically updated to Reader 64 bit. Is there any way to stop it from updating to 64 bit. Regrisiter and msconfig settings unfortunately without success.

I tried converting a pdf document t word and it cam out all numbers and symbols, how do I convert it exactly how it should be so I can edit it on word...?

I am using Windows 7 --64 bit and printing a PDF to dell 3115cn and can NOT print more than one copy of a PDF at a time. I have used adobe acrobat pro 8 and then went to reader x --same issues.Any Ideas?ThanksGregg

Hi, I get the below message (in Dutch) when I open a form on my iMac and are not able to fill out the form. If I load the form on my macbook I do not get this issue and are able to fill it out. I use the same version of Acrobat Reader. Could somebodu help me out please? 'In dit document zijn uitgebreide functies van Adobe Acrobat Reader ingeschakeld. A collegue at work is using Windows Acrobat reader to add comments to some PDF documents, which are laater sent to me. I have an apple computer and open her documents with the Preview program. And I cannot see the comments she added, only the mark that signals there is a comment there. Is there a problem or am I missing anything in my preview? Thank you very much.

In the past several weeks, when receiving a pdf via email, I am requested to sign in to my acct. to access Adobe Reader to open the document. Why now, when it was always an automatic process prior to? It's an irritant to constantly have to do so..

I have tried everything. I can't quit the program, I can't restart my computer "because Acrobat Reader is running" and I can't delete the program since it is open.What are my options?

Hallo zusammen,wir haben einen Export einer Datei in PDF, dieser umfasst mehrere Bereiche.Wir müssen nun diese Datei splitten, so dass immer wenn der Kopf mit XYZ beginnt die PDF Datei gesplittet wird. Hinzu kommt, dass der Dateiname aus der erstellen PDF Datei generiert werden soll. Bsp. Berichtsnummer 1234545 was rechts oben im Dokument zu finden ist. Dann sollte der Dateiname 1234545 .pdf sein. Also Datei in einem Ordner mit 40 Seiten. Jede Seite hat eine eigene Nummerierung. Ziel Datei Splitten und Dateinamen anhand des aktuellen Monats und der Nummer im Kopf. Ist dies in Adobe möglich?   Beste Grüße

Hi!Could you please help?I have Adobe reader installed on Citrix and users are connecting to different servers always every time they get "Check out new Adobe Reader" screen. How to disable it? I tried to create bShowWelcomeScreen without success.  

There is an attack surface reduction rule we wish to establish in our environment, that is meant to block Adobe Reader from creating child processes. This appears to be very easy in InTune, but InTune is not ready for production. Therefore, GPO is the choice. Is there an ADMX template I can use, or any guidance on how the policy might be created?

Hello,Since the update of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to version 19.008.20071, I have troubles when I print my PDF (white corners of square appear everywhere in my documents). The trouble occurs only when I print the document, not when I open it.I have followed all the instructions that I found in this page : https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-pdf-printing-acrobat-reader.html but it still doesn’t work. When I choose the option to “print as an image”, white squares disappear but the colours are awful so I’m obliged to adjust the parameters of my printer to try to be in keeping with the original as far as possible (and it’s never possible !).Then, I thought the problem occurred because my PDF contains rasterized images and vector images so I rasterized all the images of my file. After that, when I printed my document the “white squares” had disappeared but the colours of the new rasterized elements were bad. After having updated Acrobat Reader DC (v 20035), if I try to print a pdf document, I now get a message saying "The document could not be printed " and when I click OK I get a new message saying "There was an error in printing the document"....no other information is provided. All other programmes are printing normally. (Excel, Word etc)I have Windows 7 OS and a FujiXerox CP115W and also an old Cannon MP250 printer on the system. Neither can print .pdf now.I updated the driver software on the CP115 but it made no difference.Any suggestions?

I understand that with using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, I should have certain functions at my disposal such as the "combine pdfs" function "organise pages" function and such other functions, correct?. I only have the very basic functions available. Is it possible to obtain access to such functions? This is not my personal laptop but my work laptop. 

I'm trying to open a file I've used many times in the past and printed out... but it's been probably 5-6 years sine the last time.  It's now giving me this error: "Cannot extract the embedded font 'JNNCFD+CTHeiTiSF'. Some characters may not display or print correctly." I tried to go through some of the other similar posts in past discussion threads, but could not find a resolution to this that allowed me to view what's there. I understand the font may have been embedded incorrectly at some point, but a lot of people were previously able to open this, so I'm hoping there's a way to still do that somehow!  Thanks! -J

Dear Team,I m preparing a TECHNICAL SUBMITTAL document for one project. I have added couple of documents in one document and idk why my whole pdf is almost hanged up. When ever i open it takes alot of time to open and once it opens to scroll it takes a lot of time. It shows some layer added but i dont know how to turn off or remove those layers to fix. PLEASE HELP ME. i can share the document if required. Please find attach error SS. I have shared the final document to client and he is not able to open in his laptop. File size is 250MB. but i have 1gb files which opens quickly and scrolls fast but this file isn't.
