Acrobat Reader

We have a couple dozen computers we've "standardized", and have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installed on them. We update these PCs weekly with any new versions.Recently, our links to open Reader stopped working on SOME of these PCs. It turns out that SOME of them updated to 64-bit versions instead of 32-bit versions. It doesn't really matter which version we use, so 64-bit is fine, but when I uninstalled the 32-bit version and proceeded to reinstall the program with the latest installer, it just reinstalls the 32-bit version. How do you CHOOSE which version gets installed??? it never asks you during the install process!We are running Windows 10 Pro PCs.

I want to obtain a text file for the included file. I don't want to use a specific language.

Why is it that when I click on any Adobe tools, it shows this error message "Unable to process requestPlease contact customer support for help."

Need Adobe Acrobat Reader DC User Manual in Russia

We recently upgraded adobe Acrobat Reader DC version from v21.011.20039 to v2022.001.20085. Users start experiecing issue when saving the PDF. The document opens fine but when user click on the save shortcut it open a black window (see attached image). There was no issue when there was v21.011.20039 installed. I also tried the following methods but no success.1. Upgraded to latest version v2022.001.201172. Repair the the installation3. Uninstall and re-install v2022.001.20085 and v2022.001.20117 one by one.4. Tried x64bit versions5. Unticke the box under General tab "Show online storage while saving files"None of the option worked for me. I am using the application on Server 2019 x64 bit.The only way to resolve the issue was to remove the new versions and install the last worked version v21.011.20039. This worked straight away.So there is somthing has changed in later versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC that cause the Black screen while saving the document. Please can some one adv

Hi all,I have both Acrobat X Standard and Acrobat Reader DC (latest version) installed on a Windows 10 PC. The startup services (eg Acrobat assistant, Speed launcher, etc) are disabled.Everything works fine, except "Open with" Reader. If I choose "Open with" Acrobat Reader, or open the file from command prompt, 2 copies of AcrRd32.exe show up on the services list, but nothing happens on screen.However, if the same pdf file is opened from inside Acrobat Reader File>>Open, it works as intended.What can I do to restore normal behaviour?regards,Ze

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is not opening. I get an error message that it has "quit unexpectedly". I have rebooted my MacBook with no change. I have not tried removing and reinstalling. Any suggestions? I get a lot of PDF documents so this is a "must have" application. I have adobe acrobat Pro installed. I need to simulate what a user would be able to do with Adobe Acrobat reader (free) on a PC. When I download adobe acrobat (reader[xxx]_install.exe), I get a message saying old/newer version installed. On my PC the PDF only open in Adobe Acrobat Pro, I don't have an option for Adobe Acrobat reader.  2nd question, can you edit a PDF in adobe acrobat? Thanks.

I've found that whenever saving a .PDF directly from the Adobe Reader within IE NTFS permissions are not inherited correctly for the saved .PDF.When saving to a shared location on the drive the file will retain NTFS permissions from the user profile it was created on and not inherit normally from it's new location.For example if my user profile (C:\Users\Me) is accessible by [Me] and [System] and I save a .PDF out of Adobe Reader within IE to a public folder on that drive (C:\Shared Data) it will not inherit the permissions from the public folder. When this happens the file is only accessible to the user who originally created it which negates the usefulness of having public folders.This is running Adobe Reader DC from Creative CloudI've tested this running Adobe Reader (Free) on an alternate PC and haven't had the same issues.

Meu Adobe Acrobat Pro DC fica travando, abro o gerenciador de tarefas e sempre "não responde", meu computador roda todos os aplicativos da Adobe perfeitamente, mas o Acrobat sempre trava..... Alguém já passou por isso e sabe como resolver? Já desinstalei e instalei novamente mas não funciona.

Hi Everyone, Acrobat reader seems to generate extra black lines in my PDF files generated with Vectorworks 2021/2022. Anyone an idea? With other viewer there don't seem to be problems at all....I have tried with win 11 and win 10 x32 and x64...Thanks in advance!

Hello,on my terminal servers (Server 2016, update status 04/2022 Build 14393.5066 and Acrobat Reader 2020 20.001.30002), when I print a PDF via Explorer, right click, everything works fine. After that, the Reader remains as a minimized window afterwards. Is there a way to turn this off?As soon as I update Acrobat Reader to a higher version (20.004.30005 and 20.005.30334), it crashes after printing and the message "Acrobat Reader 2020 has stopped working" appears. The printout is still generated cleanly, but then the error message comes . Hello everyone, I have a somewhat particular request to ask. I have a pdf (a contract) made in Adobe Illustrator and made fillable with Adobe Acrobat. My question is this: is it possible to "block" some fillable text fields so as not to make them editable? I would need it because, being contracts, there would be certain data on the contract to protect and not make them editable by the customer. Thanks in advance to who will answer me!

Hello,Does the "Certificate" option of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC allow you to sign an unlimited number of documents? If not, how many documents per month can we sign?

I've downloaded a PDF and started adding text to it and suddenly ran into this issue (see image). Why is the text doubling in the fields, and why is the duplicated text so much larger? How do I fix this?

I've seen that I'm not alone in getting an "A newer version of the application is already installed" error when installing Reader DCI've tried using AcroCleaner, registering Windows Installer, installing C++ distributable, used MS Install and Uninstall support and nothing has worked so far.I'm running Win 10 on:Processor AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core Processor 3.89 GHzInstalled RAM 32,0 GBSystem type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorPen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display

Bonjour,J'utilise Windows 8.1 (2013), système d'exploitation 64 bits, processeur x64.Navigateur: Google chrome (version à jour).Lorsque j'ouvre un fichier, l'application gèle après quelques secondes et plus rien ne répond quand je clique pour imprimer ou sur le X pour tout fermer. Je dois passer par le Gestionnaire de tâches pour pouvoir sortir de l'application.Merci de m'aider à résoudre ce probleme.

With Abobe Reader DC 32 bits on windows 10 64 bits, directx acceleration is available in the 3d preferences of a 3d annotation.On the same machine but with Adobe Reader DC 64 bits, only software mode is available. 

Whenever I open up acrobat, I am asked to login to my university account which has been disabled since I graduated. There is no option to login with a different account or reset the software. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling which resulted in the same issue. Is there a different suggestion because I cannot use acrobat at the moment?

why do I get this message, as my credit card is still valid for years? 

I am attempting to search a long document for specific terms/words. I constantly get the dialogue box stating 'Adobe acrobat has finished searching the document. No matches were found.' Yet i am looking right at the word i am searching for on the doc. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of Reader as I was having other problems. Those problems have now been resolved, but the search function now no longer works. I also checked for updates  and there are NONE available.  These are all docs which i have been able to 'search' previously. I attempted to uninstall and reinstall a second time and the same problem persists. I have also tried the internal 'repair' feature.
