Acrobat Reader

Just like it says in the subject, when trying to password protect a document a blank white box pops up and it will not load any further. I can hit escape out of this box. The work around has been to go into Advanced Options and Password Encrypt the document. Version 21.007.2009 on a Windows 10 ProI have tried turning off "Show online storage when saving files" and turning off PDF/A view mode. Thanks for your help

I have tried to view pdfs this morning from academic journals e.g. nature etc. and it keeps on generating a screen which looks like this: I have refreshed the screen multiple times and deleted/redownloaded adobe reader DC (free one). However, when I am able to download the pdf it appears, this mode can only happen on certain websites and not others which means I cannot access most journals. I tried accessing journals on the phone and it works on there fine. Please can someone suggest something to help? 

Hi. I use Adobe Reader in my compant for digitlly signing pdf files using certificate feature. Some users randomly get 'Invalid signature' with a red cross. the problem is if any other user tries to sign the document after invalid signature, they can sign it but cannot use the lock function while signing. It is an important requirement for me to get the document locked. The following errror message comes up - 'Unexpected byte range values defining scope of signed date'. Can someone please help as it is urgent. 

I'm wondering if there is a way to prevent Adobe Reader from changing my zoom level.  I prefer to read with the zoom level set to Fit Page.  Every time I click on a bookmark to jump to another page in the document, the zoom level changes to Fit Width (I think).  This is extremely annoying because I have to keep changing the view back to Fit Page.  In preferences I have put the default zoom to Fit Page, but that only determines how it comes up initially.  When I click on a bookmark it changes again.I don't understand why the zoom changes when you click a bookmark at all.  Why would I want the zoom to change on me?FYI, I'm using Reader XI (11.0.08).Thanks for any help/suggestions.

New installation of  Windows 10 and Office 365 Message is"This file cannot be previewed because there is no previewer installed for it" Have noticed that there is no Adobe previewer listed in the attachment handling options.Cannot preview PDFs unless I revert to alternate PDF viewer like Nitro etc. Have latest software and all updates from Windows, Office 365 and  DC Reader installed Any thoughts....

Need some advise on getting Adobe to stop crashing, we have isntalled Adobe reader on a remote desktop server, running windows server 2019, we have entered the registry keys to have user profiles have seperate licenses per user profiles, and there are 2-3 users that have a Adobe creative cloud account t hey use to login, but once they  do so, it renders Adobe reader useless for the rest of the users on the server, is there any documentation or any insight on how to use Adobe reader on the same remote desktop server?

how come lately the reader get stuck almost everytime I try to open a drewing ?I have the latest version.

Ik heb problemen bij het inloggen via mijn laptop. Ik krijg steeds de melding dat mijn abonnement verlopen is, maar toch gaat er maandelijks geld van mijn rekening af.Ik kan wel inloggen via mijn gsm, maar heb dit vooral nodig op mijn laptop. Ik heb het programma al eens verwijderd en opnieuw geinstalleerd, maar nog steeds kan ik me niet aanmelden.

I am running Adobe Actobar Reader DC  Continuus Release | Version 2021.007.20099 64-bit in Windows 10 21H1 64-bit.  There are times when the application, when minimized, uses lots of CPU.  I ran ProcessExplorer and got screen-shots of the Threads and Performance Graph tabs.  I also used ProcessMonitor to get a trace.  The PID that was using CPU was 7144.  In the ProcMon trace there are 3,185 trace records: 3058 ReadFile and 127 CreateFile.  The process is reading these files:      57 Acrobat.dll        7 Acrobat.exe        4 JP2KLib.dll  3001 Downloads\PDF file I had downloaded and openedI have no idea why Acrobat Reader would be reading the PDF file that many times when the Reader process has been minimized.  The trace ran from 9:10:44 until 9:13:43.  PID 7144 was usng 6% of the CPU.  I had to Exit the process and restart it.  My cu

Hi we have the same issue as this post which is 6 yrs old (sorry about that). As far as i read, no real simple solution was provided. We have 10 to 15 workstations that need so be always uptodate as for all existing patches. We have a server monitoring that.However we don't have a server for deployment purposes, like WAPT or things like that. We don't need it for so few workstations.We tried using a dedicated account with rights only for the acrobat update service and or update task. what do we miss ? We don't understand why it does not work. thanks a lottom

Hi ihr Lieben, bei öffnen einer PDF wird der Text im Negativ und verpixelt angezeigt.Beim klicken und Scrolen verschwindet es aber kommt auch wieder.Acrobat ist neu instaliert und der Laptop auch neu (Surface Laptop 3)Kann jemand helfen? siehe beispiel Bild ( Original Willommens PDF im Programm)  

I searched the forum before posting this and found discussions where it seemed like people were having the same problem as me. But, after reading, mine seems different.To start, I am using AutoCAD 2011 with Windows 7 and am exporting to PDF. With some of those PDFs, reader prompts me that it "Cannot find or create the font 'ArialMT'. Some characters may not display or print correctly.Note I said "some".. What seems to make my case different is that I plotted 8 PDFs that worked fine. I got to number 9 and got this message. Number 10 did the same, and then number 11 was fine??I tried erasing the text, chaging the type and then changing it back.. I tried all kinds of stuff hoping that something would just kind of "kick it in the butt". It has even gotten to the point that I have one piece of text that has two lines, and the top line will not display but the bottom line will. Now THAT really makes no sense!Any ideas what could be happening?Thankyou

Hi,as you see in the screenshot, some of the tool symbols in my Reader DC (latest version/update) disappeared. They still work if you click on them but still...I searched the web but didn't find an answer. Can you help me? That would be awesome! Upon new update release for Adobe Reader 21.007.20091 and 21.007.20095, i'm experiencing on issue where when trying to save as the document, the blank screen will appear.  Please refer attachment on the screenshot that i manage to capture of the error. Appriciate everyone advice for the solution and why this is happening as its also effected my colleague at work.

I don't know if anyone has seen this before but the only way we can fix it is to uninstall and reinstall. It has come back 2 days in a row now. I suspect it is not the end of the issue.  Resizing window does not change the overlap, nietjer does literally any other setting dealing with font/size. Any ideas on a permanent fix? 

I followed all the steps described by adobe to add a digital ID, but at the final step I suddenly get prompted"You do not have any digital IDs suitable for signing this document."The only option I then have is to click "Add Digital ID" or "Cancel".Any suggestions what's going wrong??

Hello!I Have the latest Reader installed (64 bits)I'm using IE (or Edge in IE mode) with the Activex to open a PDF document.When I try to sign the document, I'm getting this "Incorrect Parameter 2148073511" error:-->Windows Cryptographic Service provider reported an error: Incorrect Parameter 2148073511 As a workaround, I uninstalled the 64 bits version, and back to the 32 bits version.  Unfortunatly, this wont do because the reader update itself back to the 64 bits version when I try to sign again!Please help!

I WRITE MY NOTE IN STICKY NOTE ON MY FILE IN ADOBE ACROBAT READERAND THEN I SAVE MY FILE. WHEN I WANTED TO CHOOSE LOCATION FOR THAT SAVE, AT LAST OF THATS NAME WRITE SIGENED FOR MY SAVE.NOW I OPEND MY FILE BUT I CANT SEE MY NOTES IN STICKY NOTEI CAN SEE THATS ICONE OF STICKY NOTE WHICH I USED IN FILE BUT I CANT SELECT THAT STINKY NOTE.I DO SAME WORK PREVIOUS AND THATS FILE ITS OK. We continue to have issues opening up PDF documents - we receive the error 103 code and the image will not render. https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/error-103-103-when-embebed/td-p/10545667 We have followed the previous suggestions of making sure the "Enable Protected Mode at startup" is unchecked. All versions have been updated to the most current which is 2021.007.20099. Anyone else have these issues too? 

My client has a vision disability that makes reading black text on white background difficult so he prefers yellow text on a black background. I am wondering if Adobe Reader allows setting default settings so that every time he opens a pdf it can come up with yellow text on a black background, so I don’t have to change it manually every time?
