Hi,When I double click icon Adope Acrobat on the textbox, there comes a popup message "Something went wrong. Hello.  I just got a new surface laptop and the pdf thumbnail preview in windows explorer option in the preferences ("General")  section is greyed out. I am unable to activate the option. I've tried every solution out there. Noe worked.  Can I have some guidance? ThanksCarlos.  

Hi All, I am usin Windows 10I used to be able to close Full screen mode of Adobe Acrobat Reader, but lately it make it seem like the software shuts off it even disappeares from the taskbar but it keeps running in the task manage.Although I can shut it in task manager it seems it's still running in the background as every time I try to resave my file it says 'I cannot because the file is already open'.And it is kind of visible in a full screen mode on my screen but it is not running in task manager it has no thumbnail on the task bar and I just cannot close it. I have to restart the entire computer every time.What is happening? How can this be fixed? 

I'm posting the screenshot of the barcode generated in Microsoft Word, along with the same barcode displayed in Adobe Reader 2024.005.20399. I.e. in Word I save the file as PDF, then I open it in Reader, and the results are on the screenshot - obviously AR "merges" many bars together, so there's far less detail. If I zoom in in AR, the "missing" bars show up, so there's no loss. But I'm still wondering if it's possible to have AR showing the barcodes in all details in the same way as Word does it.I also tried this PDF in another PDF viewer (SumatraPDF) and it showed the barcode with the same detail level as Word. 

Hi, I used to be able to use my finger to scroll down on a PDF document on my touch screen laptop and second screen, I now cant do this. Any idea's how to fix 

Hola, quisiera saber como cambiar el idioma de Lectura en Voz Alta de Inglés a Español.   Intenté algo que vi aquí en Comunidad, pero no me funcionó, ya que en el idioma de la voz solo me aparece el predeterminado de mi computadora, el cual es Inglés.   La aplicación está en Español, pero no comprendo porque el lector lee en Inglés, si los documentos están en Español.   Gracias.

I have used the Aero cleaner program to fully remove both Reader and Acrobat. rebooted the computer then installed either and then tried to launch PDF file. If I have Acrobat or Reader open, the pdf opens as expected. If I set windows to use a different default program for pdf viewing, no issues. I only get this behavior, when I launch a pdf from the file. No error presented. Just two copies of the program are listed under Background Processes.I have a .dmp file from taskmanager of the one of the programs hanging.  

Hello everyone,If I'm using Acrobat Reader then I went to other program then I decided to go back Acrobat Reader, then if I have multiple tabs in that window, then I have to choose one of them to determine a specific one while if I click in the window it will not open any tab, but I have to choose from the displayed tabs. While in Google Chrome, if I have multiple tabs, then if I changed the chrome to go to other program, then If I decided to go back to the window of Google Chrome that has multiple tabs by clicking in the window, of Google Chrome, then it will automatically opens the last tab I used in the window of Google Chrome, so how can I do that in Acrobat Reader. Therefore, the question is that How to automatically choose the last tab I used when I click in the window that has multiple tabs in Acrobat Reader? The system that I use is Windows 10

I pressed some keys inadvertently and my search text properties are huger now. Is there a way to reduce them? 

My Adobe Reader defaults about fonts seem damaged. Any help appreciated.I have both Reader and Acrobat Pro 2020 and have been exploring the topic of embedding fonts. Mais ao abrir um documento, nos deparamos com um maldito painel de ferramentas, verdadeiramente inútil que serve apenas para tomar quase 1/4 da tela e diminuir o zoom do documento. Atrapalhando até a enxergar o conteúdo do documento.O pessoal da Adobe diz que é impossível ocultá-lo em definitivo, sugerindo apenas que vc dê o comando shift+F4 a cada vez que abre um documento.Depois de muita pesquisa e leitura de fóruns internacionais, descobri uma forma de acabar de vez com o maldito item indesejado.No Windows 8.1 acesse o diretório de instalação do acrobat. Hello,  I've come across a problem while opening heic files from IPhone. The thing is, that this format is not supported by Adobe Reader but the program is constantly trying to open it, and error occurs. I tried to dismiss this type of files from opening via applications settings, but there is no even such format, so I can't even mark heic file as an exception. How can I finally prevent opening of file by Acrobat Reader? Lost my use of Adobe Reader when Adobe Acrobat DC was changed by Microsoft Update.  Can not open my documents in Word and cannot save a file scanned into Microsoft word into PDF format. I tried uninstalling Adobe Acrobat DC and downloading Adobe Reader again, but this is not working.  Help. 

Hello to the community. I have been using the digital signature option from Adobe Acrobat Reader (currently version 2023.003 on Mac) for years. Specifically, I use the tool under "Certificates -> Sign digitally -> Sign with a digital ID". Now by coincidence I noticed something, because I can display the signed PDF yes also in the Apple standard app "Preview":There I can not only move the signature box, but also delete or copy it. I can also add and remove pages, so I can put a digital signature under a completely different contract. I would like to know if this is a known effect (or even bug) and how I can prevent it with Adobe Reader. Thank you and best regards

When I use the pencil tool in Reader, I cannot draw with it; rather, it just makes dots. (When I use Acrobat, however, I am able to draw with the pencil.)How do I fix this? I'm trying to show students how to use the pencil tool, and making only dots with it isn't useful.

I am trying to download an IRS form that requires Adobe reader 8 in order to fill it out.  I have installed Reader 8 but when I go back to the IRS site it still says I need to install reader8.  Why am I not connecting?  

Hi - I have downloaded the W-9 from the IRS website, and using the Microsoft Edge, I have entered in first and last name as Text and saved as a new PDF file. When I open using Edge (default windows PDF viewer) it shows the first name and last name as I typed them. However, whenever I open wtih Adobe Reader, those fields are both blank. Why isn't Adobe reader showing the values of those fields? thanks

I have seen similar posts like that which were then "locked" for some reason. I'm having the same issues as many other users. These are documents from over 12 years ago that people have successfully filled out and sent back to me for over 10 years.Now, they say they are security protected and require a password, but I have never placed passwords on them. They're questionnaires for clients. There's no reason to ever protect them. Should I attempt a 3rd party app that cracks the security? I really don't know what to do. For now, my workaround is just to tell people to download a copy. 😞

Hi Community, We have an issue with Adobe Reader that is running on a Terminal Server (Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Datacenter), when users open PDF's the first one opens without issue. Any subsequent PDF's take a long while to open up.We have already switched to the old interface of Adobe Reader and made changes to the security settings but the issue still persists. Adobe has also been uninstalled and re-installed on the server. Your advise in this matter is appreciated.

I have a printing issue with 11” X 14” Legal PDF documents using Adobe. The first page prints correctly, however, the second and subsequent pages print with the text starting two inches lower than it should. This cuts off the bottom two inches of the text, making the printed document un-usable. If I print the legal sized document one page at a time, it prints correctly.Also, If I print letter sized paper, this problem doesn't’ happen.Obviously, I cannot effectively print multiple paged documents one page at a time.I am using a MacBook with OS Sequoia. A Brother HL-L6200DW dual tray with the series BR-Script 3 driver for multi-sized paper. I have also downloaded the Adobe Acrobat DC. All systems and drivers are up to date.I’ve tried every single option/ combination available in the print dialog box.

How do I force the fillable text to align with the placeholder lines that I have included in InDesign for a interacitve PDF I've exported? I must be doing something simple the wrong way. It gets worse the farther I type. And adding paragraph breaks makes it even worse. I need the text to align with the baseline of the placeholder lines from InDesign. Is this even possible? Below is the comparison to how I'm setting the text field in Indesign vs. how it shows up in the form with I fill out the text field.   

I to have files open without the huge navigation pane open on the left side. It's messing with previews in Solidworks PDM.
