Acrobat Reader

I used to be able to open 2 separate pdf documents and drag one tab to the desktop so I could view the 2 separate documents side by side.  I do this because I want to copy and paste information from one pdf to the other.  I have the free version of Adobe Reader.  Now when I try to drag a tab to the desktop, nothing happens and Adobe abruptly shuts down.  Does anyone have any ideas?

I have a non-profit client that runs their applications on a Citrix server. Last week they had a problem with Adobe Reader XI on the server and we had to uninstall XI and run the clean utility to get it completely removed from the server. I was able to install Adobe Reader DC with no issue...except with their main application that they use for 90% of their work. We have tried compatability mode, running as a domain admin without any luck.Printing and saving reports are no problem, the problem comes when they try to do a print of the receipts. Since users are working from home, some do not have access to printers. When they selected to print receipt, Arobe Reader XI, opened the receipt in the reader and they had the option to save the file as a PDF or print, they always saved the file to a network share.With Adobe Reader DC and the PDF printer set as the default, the receipt can be seen in the backgroud but they can't access it and get a prompt to save the file as a .PRN. Hello,I am currently subscribed to Adobe Acrobat, and I would like to know if it is possible to increase the number of devices allowed under my subscription. At the moment, the subscription permits activation on two devices only, but I need to use the application on additional devices to accommodate my work needs.Is there an option to upgrade my current plan or add more device activations? Hello,everytime I open a PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader (64-bit), currently Version 2024.002.21005,it shows the following Popup with a Error Message: Windows - Application ErrorThe instruction at 0x00000000738D7F8F referenced memory at0x000000000004A0. I am trying to have documents that I download open in PDF without downloading.  However, when I do download the document, it opens in Chrome format.  I then have to click on the 3 horiztonal lines that appear and then click on download to pdf.  I am trying to avoid this step.  I'd prefer that once I download the document, it open in PDF format automatically.  I've attached a screen shot of what I see when I download.

All the postings you read tell you to download an offline version of Adobe Reader DC - they refer to https://get.adobe.com\reader\enterprise - but the website is never upadated with the latest version of Adobe Reader.Current version available on the website  : 2024.004.20220Latest version availble from Adobe: 2024.005.20320

Hi,Is there a feature within acrobat that allows you to scroll through individual pdf files within file explorer without having to open a file then close then back to explorer and then open and so on! it is quite annoying when viewing 100's of files?if not can anyone reccomend a software that does this.thank you in advance. SB

I want the Adobe Reader app to read PDFs aloud on my iPad.  The help website says to choose "read aloud" from the view menu but that choice isn't there

How can users permanently hide the 'All Tools' pane? Older guides do not work.  Using a free version.  Please don't force trail periods and pop ups on your uses 

Hi guys, I have a problem with my Acrobat Reader when I try to save a PDF. When I want to save my work multiple times, it shows this message (see photo): "The document could not be saved. An error occurred while reading this document (105)." I have tried several methods I found online, but without success. I would like to understand why this is happening. It's an intermittent problem because there are some documents where I don't experience this issue. Thank you! 

I just upgraded to Acrobat Reader DC. I want to display two documents side by side so I can compare them and in this latest and greatest, better than sliced bread version I don't seem to be able to do this [removed] ????

Hello,Adobe resets all the preferences when restarted. For example I set up the comments pane to not open when comments are present but the next document opened the comments pane opens and the setting to changed back to ticked off.I tried to reistall the latest version.I am on windows 11, Adobe standard versionit's huge problem because comments cause CPU usage and bugsBest regards

Eu uso duas telas e o Adobe Reader fecha sozinho quando alterno uma aba de uma tela para outra. Está com a atualização mais recente, já removi  e reinstalei, já atualizei os driver do meu PC e mesmo assim o problema persiste. 

Wir nutzen normalerweise in einer Citrix-Terminalserver-Umgebung den Acrobat Reader DC.Seit den neusten Updates ist es leider so, dass immer ein Anmeldefenster kommt, wo man Zugangsdaten für den Adobe-Account eingeben kann. Wenn man das wegklickt, dann kann man das Programm normal nutzen.Wenn allerdings ein User seine Zugangsdaten eingibt, dann wird dadurch getriggert, dass alle Anwendungen auf dem Server auf PRO umgestellt werden und ab dann nur noch Acrobat Reader funktioniert, sofern man Zugangsdaten hat. Hierbei hilft nur den Acrobat Reader auf dem betroffenen Terminalserver zu deinstallieren und neu zu installieren.Ist der Fehler bekannt? Gibt es einen Workaround?

Olá! Instalei o Adobe Reader em meu Macbook para assinar digitalmente documentos. Fiz a instalação do token e ele é identificado perfeitamente. Faço todo o procedimento de assinatura, ela aparece corretamente até a confirmação. Mas, quando vai assinar, aparece um erro: "Erro na assinatura: A credencial selecionada para assinatura é inválida".Alguém pode me ajudar?

Bonjour, Nous rencontrons dans ma société un souci depuis plusieurs mois (depuis une M.A.J Adobe début 2024). En effet lorsqu'on ouvre un PDF avec la visionneuse Acrobat Reader et que l'on clique sur l'icone de l'enveloppe pour transferer le PDF en PJ d'un mail sur Outlook, une signature automatique d'Abobe apparait :  " Veuillez trouver ci-joint le PDF. Téléchargez gratuitement Adobe Acrobat Reader pour afficher et commenter ce PDF. https://www.adobe.com/go/reader_download_f " Cette "signature" remplace nos signatures Outlook par défaut et modifie également le format du mail (passant de HTML à Texte Brut). Avez-vous une solution pour empêcher l'apparition de cette signature automatique ? Ou sinon pour au moins empêcher le basculement du format du mail (le laisser en HTML) ? Merci d'avance pour votre aide....

When I open a pdf there is this small tool bar that appears in the left side of the pdf. I can move it around but not able to totally minimize or remove it. It takes up space and when I am comparing documents this is in the middle and I have to keep moving it around.  How can I remove this? Very frustrating. "select text" "add comment" "highlight text" are some of the options on this tool bar. It is not letting me remove these options, but I can add more if I want.  

Hi. I have had a new computer installed and on my old one when I exported a report from Xero to pdf it automatically opened in Adobe Acrobat. The new computer downloads the report but then I have to catch it quick and click on the downloaded file to open it. Does anyone know what/where I have to change to get it back to where I was? I have spent hours googling and got nowhere.

I recived a PDF file via email from a trusted extrnal sender which contains a hyperlink to an excel sheet and when i try to click on it i get a security pop up to , I click allow but nothing happens so i tried to open the pdf file in the browser and when i click on the hyperlink it takes me to a new page with a message saying " File not foundIt may have been moved, edited, or deleted.ERR FILE NOT FOUND "is the issue from my side or from the sender side?

Recently, Adobe Reader has been displaing the Bookmarks screen whenever I open a PDF file.  This window takes up half the screen, requiring me to close it before proceeding.     I cannot find a way to have PDFs launch without the Bookmarks window comeing up to.  Please let me know how I can fix this.    Apparently, other readers have controls for such things, but I'd rather stay with Adobe if possible.Thanks.
