Acrobat Reader

Hello, We install Adobe Reader in Windows 11 multi-session hosts for Azure Virtual Desktop environment. After a while Adobe starts to ask to sign-in and we don't what causes this behaviour or how to stop this. Thanks for your help. 

12/10/21This is the most recent post/update that I can locate...I have exactly the same issue w/my work PC.It does/will -NOT- work!!!!No matter what steps taken;  "1- Open PDF in Adobe Reader2- Edit>preferences>>page display>Zoom to 100%3- Preferences>Document> Check "Restore last view settings when reopening document">OK"Or-"edit>preferences>>page display>Zoom to 100% " Nothing will keep the setting as a new default. Whichever it is set when I open a doc, no changes will "SET" as a new default.  This has been this way for a very long time, and is a CONSTANT waste of time and energy. Today I went through 40-some different documents, and for every-single-one. . . . it opens up small, I zoom into 400% to see the needed items, I do the work needed form that page, close the document, double cliock on the next one in the list, and again it is small, and must again be re-zoomed into. Neither the "Edit>prefe

I have a Scanned PDF with Greek Language content. I am using adobe apis for my project. Is there any way I can extract the english equivalent from the greek content.A code snippet will help ThanksDeb

When displaying some documents, I cannot correctly visualize the Arial font (it only displays correctly when bolded, as you can see in the image below).   Moreover, the fonts of the different tools in Adobe Acrobat Reader are shown in italics, as well as the comments I make on the documents. I also show an image below.  Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. I should mention that I have tried installing older versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader, but the issue persists. Currently, I am using the latest version of the application. Thank you in advance! 

Acrobat Reader DC keeps re-installing itself and assigning itself as the default pdf handler.  I have uninstalled it several times but it keeps coming back without my permission.  I have the full version of Acrobat and do not need or want Reader DC.  How can I stop this intrusive behavior?

On the Adobe website below under Adobe Apps compatible with macOS 15 Sequoia, Adobe Reader is not mentioned. Is Adobe Reader classed as an app?https://helpx.adobe.com I have just updated to macOS 15 and now I am unable to print any PDF documents. I have found a workaround but this is not my point.          I have attempted to update Adobe Reader on more than one occasion since updating the OS but each time I get the message ‘an error has occurred’.Does anyone have an answer?Thank you.

Some files don't work with "Restore last view settings when reopening documents". It works with some files. I have some online notes in pdf format. I want to open it at 200% or fit to width but I need to do it everytime I open this file. Is it the problem with the file? What can I do? Thanks. 

I tried to write a "simple subject" for this post but the website grabbed the post and gave me 4 or 5 entries, and this locked me out.So, I cannot write the subject. I have been using Adobe Reader since intel came out with a 486 chip. My friend Nick built me a 13th Gen Intel PC in January 2024 and the first thing I did was to install Adobe Reader. It was all good until a few months ago. I installed the chrome browser and a week later I think, suddenly the adobe reader changed to an awful mess of open panels or panes and a loss of display options and vertical bars that do I don't know what. This is to much for me. I would rather read pdf files in chrome than to try to figure out the mess you turned the greatest pdf reader in the world into.So, at this point I want to install an older version of adobe reader that was available in 2023. I have downloaded the reader. However, it is not the same reader that I am used to. The one I have shows the number of pages on the side whereas the one I am used to shows the pages on top. Problem with the one that shows the pages on the side is it is difficult to see how many pages the document has if there are more than 100 pages. I have atached photographs, As can be seen, the one shows pages numbes at the side which I don't want whereas the one at the bottom shows page numbers at the top. What am I doing wrong?

This error happens when closing the PDF. I've verified Adobe is fully up to date. Windows is also fully up to date. I've reinstalled and repaired the app to no effect. 

I received a PDF file, that was converted from either Excel or Word.  When I open the file, the text is too large for cell size height and only the top half of the text character is visible.  I've tried opening with several different computers using Reader.  I've also tried opening with PDF Architect and MS Edge.  Each time it looks the same, so I'm guessing it might have something to do with how it was converted to PDF.  The guy who converted it says he reads it fine in Reader.  Here is what I see:  Any ideas on how this is happening and how to fix?  Thanks,Pete 

Hello,I work in a large multinational and we proofread documents using comment tools on Reader DC with our own custom stamp palette for speed. We recently migrated to Windows 11 and since then, our team has experienced extreme lagging issues. The program seems to start out ok and its performance slowly deteriorates (especially for large documents or when working with multiple PDFs), to an almost stand-still at times. Here's a description of some of the issues:- When applying a new stamp, sometimes it takes 2-5 sec after clicking for the stamp image to "stick" on the page. - When using the pencil tool, most of the time you must hold the mouse button down for 2-3 sec. for the drawing to start showing, otherwise it only makes a dot or else just a straight line from the point you started the drawing to where the cursor ended up. - When switching between documents/tabs, it can take anywhere from 5 to 20 seconds for the new document to display and sometimes the software freezes with a turnin

I have recently been unable to access my Adobe Acrobat Pro software on Windows 11. Following some suggestions online I installed an older version of Adobe Acrobat, but now I am unable to install the premium features that I have a licence for.I start the installation of the premium features but at around 30% it bombs out and closes Adobe altogether.Very frustrating. Anyone else have a similar experience or advice on this? 

Why the heck does adobe reader need to many frigging updates every frigging week!!!I swear, as a student i have enough active programs already, i don't need more porgrams to frigging restart my computer everyday just because your stable platform of adobe sucks. The worst part about adobe's updates, are the following:1) it is huge UPDATES (30mbs+), if I were to download the adobe reader from your site right now, it is less than the update package. Hows does that even make sense.2) It feels the need to be important and restart your computer every time it updates.3) Why does Adobe Reader even need so many updates, if there is constant client problems, than I think you should release a stable client all at once.I will not use this PDF reader ever again. There is better PDF readers out there, that don't waste people's time on updates.p.s. mounting a complain on this site also sucks. I subscribe to Creative Cloud although this does not appear to include Adobe Reader. When I try to load Reader independently, from Adobe's free download site, the installation fails because "a newer version is already installed". I cannot find any version of Reader installed on the Win 10 PC and cannot use the version said to be installed.Any advice appreciated.

I have Adobe Reader XI on both my business laptops. A business associate asked me to download the new Adobe Reader app (Adobe Reader DC) https://get.adobe.com/reader/https://get.adobe.com/reader/ in order for me to be able to write/enter text in PDF's.  I did not like Adobe DC when it came out and downloaded the previous XIversion.  I want to make sure if I do not like DC again if I install it that I can uninstall and reinstall Reader XI.  However, the dropdown menu I get when searchingfor the previous downloads only gives me the option of downloading either Reader DC 2015.020.20039 or Reader 11.0.10 English for Windows.My questions are:       Is Reader Xi no longer an option to install as an older product?                                   Is Reader 11.0.10 the same product

I install a pdf file from taxisnet (is a site from goverment) and i try to send this file in Bank online form.The answer is that the file is not correct.Call in the call center in the Bank and they told me that the correct file must have a grey colour in the end of the document file.I have try many many times but i cant download pdf document file like that (grey colour in the end)Please can help me where is the fault?** i send and the icon with correct form that the bank sent me

Windows 10 ProMS Office 2016Adobe Reader DC v 2020.012.20043 (updated) Previously, I could hit Alt+F+L to email a PDF as an attachment.Now, Alt+F+L only brings up the option to send PDF as a link. What is now the keyboard shortcut to email PDF as an attachment?

Hi, We have an issue amongst our users, whereby when attempting to open legal forms (with smart-form data entry elements), a warning dialog saying "No Error" comes up twice. Then the PDF will not load showing the attached result. We cannot find anything about this online. This only seams to be happening on the latest and the last version (21.001.20135) and previous version (20.13.20074). A full uninstall and roll back to build 20.12.20041 appears to fix the issue, but we are unable to replicate. Also, only happening to around 10 or so users, all using the same draft form.Please note, at the time of the attached screenshots, all versions were up to date at the time of screenshotting, and all affected machines are currently running on the older version for compatibility across the company.As an extra note, this only started happening upon the auto update to build 20.13.20074, for around 10 out of 100 users. Thanks in advance, Matt

Hi all ! I want to load and correctly print a document to a POS printer. The document has the correct size, etc. But when I look into the paper size, its the whole roll of paper which is wront obviously. If I try to fir the document it wont work, there is no way to set the page the same as the document size. Any ideas on how to do it?Im attaching the PDF and the settings' screenshot so you can have the reference.Thanks in advance !

I downloaded two PDFs from my bank - one downloaded in black and white and I was able to draw a rectangle to redact my account number. The other PDF is in color (different account, same bank) and I am prompted to purchase the Pro version in order to do the same. I am using the free version of Acorbat Reader. Why is this and is there any way around it? TIA
