Hi there, Whenever I open Reader, a white screen appears, and I can’t seem to get rid of it. I’ve tried clicking the ESC button, restarting the program, and even rebooting the computer, but nothing works. Could you please assist me with this issue?
Is it possible to get Adobe Reader program to find and highlight all italic and bold words in a document?
Hi,I have Windows 64 bit and Acrobat Reader.Acrobat Reader hangs for an extended time when opening (even just the app, not double clicking a PDF) with 'Not Responding' with Protected Mode turned on (off it works fine)Its very frustrating when you need to open several files just to check a small detail.Have googled, but found nothing concrete, seems a lot of folk suffer with this issue - a short mention is made of 'delete temp folder', - but without any details, but am not sure where that is located, is that also related to 'autosave' ?Some suggestion of Network Folders made, could the App be trying to access one of those folders - which might be offline, with a temp autosave version ??? Bit stuck, any ideas ?? wasting a lot of the day on this.

I recently installed adobe acrobat reader on a new macbook. My adobe account sign in is through Apple, so when attempting to sign in, I click the link "continue with Apple."Safari then opens a webpage in an attempt to login however the page loads with "We did not manage to sign you in. Please disable your browser proxy settings and try again." I've gone through my proxy settings on Safari and there are no proxy protocols checked. Thank you in advance for your help!
Gracias .

Comment mettre à jour Adobe Acrobat Reader ? Merci
I tried updating Adobe Reader 11 and an update was available. However the update gavce me an error. I researched the error and it said to uninstall Reader and run the cleaner then reinstall. I uninstalled, ran the cleaner but the updater gave me a meta file error when attempting to reinstall. Please advise as to where I can obtain a standalone download of Adobe 11. I do not want the 'cloud' version which seems to be the only version available on the Adobe Reader downloads page now. Thanks.[Title edited for clarity by moderator. Was "Adobe Reader 11".
Hi,in our company we are using the shared review function for commenting. Until recently everything worked fine, but now we started having problems with Adobe Ready. Normally we have this process:We setup a shared review PDF in Adobe Acrobat DC (which we have only within our documentation group)Send the link to colleagues, who than enter their comments via Adobe Reader The issue we are having is, that in DC everything works fine, but the colleagues who open the links in Adobe Reader (some of them, not all) don´t have access to the commenting functions, so it is useless. I think it might something to do with the "Extended functions" not initiating properly in Acobar Reader, but I´m not sure. Do you, please, have any tip how to resolve this? This function is crutial to us. I will appreciate any help! Thank you in advance!
I just updated Adobe Viewer and to my alarm receive McAfee with it without my consent or even knowledge. McAfee is an aggressive, nasty "antivirus" that is worse than the damn viruses! Its own uninstall feature doesn't work, meaning that you have to search the web looking for ways to remove this plague on society. Honestly an updated version of Adobe Viewer just wasn't worth this pain. I will not be using Adobe ANYTHING and I will avoid all Adobe products like the plague until they stop dealing with McAfee. Even being in bed with this horrible company makes Adobe look dodgy. Judgement by association and all that. To the C-suite in Adobe - this association will have tarnished your reputation as a credible company, and Goid knows how much damage to your sales it has already caused. Many people will not give feedback like e and will simply stop using Adobe.
I use Adobe Reader all day every day, typically opening 2-10 tabs at once and switching between several multi-paged documents. Since the latest update, every time I open a PDF I have to choose "View", "Page Display", "Enable Scrolling". It didn't used to be like that. If I chose it once, it became my default for every PDF I opened. I am reading and comparing contracts that are several pages long, and need the zoom to be large enough that I can read it, so I cannot see a whole page at once, hence the need for scrolling, rather than snapping to the top of the next page.Does anyone know if there is a way to make this a default setting? Thanks!~Jen
SINCE THE 2024.003.20112 UPDATE THE READER IS TAKING OVER SEVEN MINUTES TO OPEN PDF DRAWING FILES, THIS IS WAY WAY TO LONG . I REGULARLY PRINT PDF COPIES AND ONLY NEED TO VIEW AND ZOOM AROUND TO CHECK & VERIFY THE PRINT IS OK. 7 MINUTES SPENT TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT IS A COMPLETE & UTTER WASTE OFF TIME. BEST SUGGESTION UNTIL THIS FIXED, IS TOO SWITCH TO ANOTHER FREE PDF READER (PDFgear) AND EVEN OUR IT PEOPLE AGREE.
Hi - please advise how I deal with this "The document you are trying to load requires Adobe Reader 8 or higher. You may not have theAdobe Reader installed or your viewing environment may not be properly configured to useAdobe Reader."
I was on my county's superior court site to get court forms, legit site. There was a link to download Adobe PDF to fill out forms so I can print out. I unchecked the McAfee Scan Plus box and clicked download. I was so mad when McAfee had downloaded anyways that I uninstalled Adobe, but McAfee would not uninstall. I called them twice both times. They wanted me to let them gain remote access to my laptop, apparently it's the only way the app can be uninstalled.. My laptop is running a bit glitchy and I'm afraid it McAfee all over again. Problems with them 2 years ago.If anybody knows how to uninstall McAfee, please I need help. Thanks
Good morning, I am running version 2024.003.20112/64-bit. It has been happening for a few months now and my IT department can not find a reason for it crashing all the time. I have tried all available options from reinstalling, and doing a deep clean of Adobe, to disabling some functions as discussed in other forums and rebooting. It has just started closing itself now.Is anyone having the same issue and found a way to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
For a couple of months, every time I scroll between different pages, it stops responding. I have unchecked the advanced security-enhanced settings in the preference. What else can I do?
I was trying to use some tools in Acrobat Reader on my Windows 10 PC, but it required me to sign in. However, I noticed that I was already signed in, as shown in Menu > Help > Sign Out (Moderator: Email address removed due to security and privacy concerns). Despite this, the "Sign in" option is still displayed in the top right corner of the screen, and clicking on it does nothing. I’m still unable to use the tools because it says I’m "signed out," whatever that means. I’ve already tried the Help > Repair Installation and Help > Check for Updates options as recommended in similar posts. I also tried signing out and signing back in, but the "Sign in" button still appears in the top right corner. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
This is for the Adobe engineers. New GUI for Acrobat DC Pro (Mac) crashes when cropping a book of 300 pages. I switched to the old GUI and there was no problem with that task.
I am chatting with the AI Assistant and it assessed 9 PDFs with scientific articles. It gave me a good summary of important information from all of them. In the chat, it uses numbers representing the reference/literature/paper from which that information was taken. However, when I copy the chat (or only the answer) these numbers (and hence all literature citations) disappear. I need a way to save these numbers/citations with the text from the chat so I can refer to them later. The assistant can't give me a list of the PDFs in the collection either, no matter how I ask! I can't save the collection either, so there is no way to know which documents were used after I close the app! Any help on how I can solve this?
