This issue began a week or two ago. I use adobe all the time for work, and I've never had this problem. I have always been able to 'edit PDF' and 'add text' even if the original document was a scan (ex: a fax that was received). I've used this method to complete forms so that I don't have to waste time and paper by printing, completing in pen, scanning, etc. However, over the past few weeks when I have attempted to 'edit pdf' and then 'add text', the document acts as though all of the current text (aka, the form I am trying to fill out) is a picture. It won't let me add text on top of this 'image', but will only select the image. This is happening across the board, whether it's a document that someone has scanned to me, faxed to me, or something I 'print to PDF' myself. This is not document specific, except that it has become all PDF documents. Why is it doing this, and how do I tell it to STOP converting my documents into pictures, or at least al
Ok, I'm getting this message but here's the rub, I did save the document (to test it) with 1 comment before I went on to write 52 comments over 114 pages. Now it won't save at all. Please tell me how to save it with my comments OR, how to at least get my comments into a separate saveable document so i don't lose them. thank you!

Hi everyone,I know that Adobe provides a feature to link SharePoint documents to a PDF for editing and signing, which allows you to save the file and sync it with the document on SharePoint. However, this requires copying the SharePoint PDF file link and pasting it into the PDF. This process can be quite cumbersome for users who need to handle a large number of files, as it requires repeating the same steps over and over.According to this official guide, we can link SharePoint files to a PDF for operations. But I am wondering if there is a way to directly open a PDF file in SharePoint, edit it, and save the changes, without having to copy and paste the URL each time?Thank you very much for your help!
Hi all. Please help. I'm an online college Proofreading student and I should have access to acrobats editing pdfs tool, for free. Except when I try to edit pdfs, it takes me to a payments page and nowhere further. Please help
when I download the Acrobat reader and installed it to my windows 8.1 that show up completed but just gone and can't find.I have been tried for 2 days, can't result the problem still.
I don't like the new update of the PDF reader, I prefer the previous version which was simpler. It is annoying to have to use the magnifying glass to enlarge the page and then have the enlarge or reduce box appear next to the tab to download the page. I liked the previous version, I hope you update it and it's like before.
Hello Community,i have a new iMAc with M3 Processor and using Adobe Cloud (Reader) to edit a Formular. After i write in the text field it often crashes. I have made every update but it happens often. Did some one has a hint why it crashes?
I have recently updated Acrobat reader DC as well as adobe flash. When I turn my computer on, reader works fine. But after using a couple different programs PDF files will no longer open and I get a message that says: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item". If I restart the computer, all is well again...for a while. I am running windows 10
Hello,I have a problem when using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for viewing and printing a pdf file generated with LaTeX. The difference is shown on pictures "pdf on screen.png" and "pdf printed.png" : a blue line is added to the graph...I would have liked to provide a full set of file for running a minimal building example, but the format is unfortunatelly not supported... I can provided by any other working method if required. Please find at least attached "main_test.pdf", which should renders differently on screen and printed, and the log file of the compilation of the document.Hope this can help improve Adobe Acrobat Reader!
Muchas gracias.
As i mentioned in the title one of my coworkers explorer freezes when he tries to view them in preview pane. There is no error popping up or anything like that. Important sidenote: I've reviewed this 'solution' but my security settings we're correct as stated in this forum post https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/an-internal-error-has-occurred/m-p/13332260
When I markup my PDF on the Acrobat Reader app, I can see my specific changes in the toolbar. For example, if I replace text, it will show in the sidebar "replace selected text" and the change I made. However, when I try to share my work with others, they only see my markup as comments, not the specific markup, such as replaced text. How do I save/share my PDF so others can see specific comments and not just general comments?
this happend to me once before. i can seem to fix it this time..right click change scale ratio.25 inches and 1= ft still inches...trying to complete a bid for work.
I cannot find the Acrobat Reader for Kindle Fire anywhere. Can anyone help? Without it, the links in an "interactive" PDFs don't work properly, as they do on my iPad. Others tell me that their Android phones seem to be OK, but I cannot find any app for the Kindle Fire.
So we can't even rotate a PDF anymore without a paid subscription? Absoloutely rediculious. This has been a core basic function of Reader for years, why was it removed? Is there a way to rotate it another way?
I recently encountered artifacts introduced when using the Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin (COM Add-in) tool from Adobe Acrobat DC in Microsoft Word (Office 365).Typically I will have a document and then convert to PDF to finalize and send out (within Word go to File --> Save as Adobe PDF). I then sometimes need to modify the PDF afterwards for appearance, such as shifting the exact position of some lines or getting a signature fitted right. I open the newly made PDF in Acrobat Pro (version info below) and click "Edit." When I shift the position of text, boxes, almost like rows in a 1x1 table (or something comparable to a clipping mask in Illustrator when importing a PDF), appear and they are layered over the text. The appearance is more dramatic when you substantially move the text, but is noticeable on some characters with attributes that go lower like the "g" in my example photos. These artifacts align near-perfectly center to each line of text. I do this quite freque
When the PDF is opened for the first time in editable form> We add the data in the pdf and click on the Save button after entering all the data in text inputs. The data gets saved. > Now we close the Adobe Reader & again we open the PDF with Adobe Reader, Issue: The file gets opened for a few seconds and the Adobe app closes by itself (just like app crash behavior) The adobe version used: DC June 2024 (24.002.20857)

I am trying to do an e-signature form and I can add the recipients and run the prepare document. When I try to change the data type of the signature field from Text to e-signature it visually changes but then freezes and eventually crashes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of the application but that did not fix it. Event viewer has the following errors. Greetings, I am experiencing a problem with the single key accelerators, specifically with the "K" key for stamping, which does not activate the stamping tool as intended. Instead, it inserts a blue tic with a text box feature to a random line of text inside the PDF that happens to be active at the moment of clicking the key. I will attach a picture to this message to provide a better understanding of the issue. As someone who relies heavily on the stamping tool, this issue has become increasingly frustrating. Having quick access to the tool is essential for a seamless workflow, and this malfunctioning key accelerator is hindering that. My current version is 2023.001.20093 (64-bit) on Windows 10. Interestingly, this issue has not presented itself on my other computer that is running Windows 11. Could anyone shed some light on what might be causing this problem?
I downloaded the Sony BDP-S5200 Operating Instructions from the Sony website here:https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/product/bdp-s5200/manuals Each time I open that 48-page PDF, Acrobat Reader DC crashes (version 24.002.20895; Windows 10 22H2, build 19045.4529). Opening it in other apps, such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Irfanview all work fine without crashing. I then used the PDF24 Tools to split the 48 pages until I found that just one page, page 8, is the single page that crashes it. The attached PDF is that page 8. Can anyone duplicate this and help determine what it is about this page that causes the crash?Thanks!- John
Made the mistake of updating Acrobat Reader. Got DC which cuts off half of print headings HORIZONTALLY in a document. Where can I download the prior version? Am running OS 10.13.6 and cannot update further on my old machine. Am I stuck with halfway headings?
I have created a fillable form for my co-workers' use when interviewing clients. The form has been pinned to the top of a Teams Channel. I need the data to export to both a spreadsheet, and have the individual completed PDF forms to export to a folder. I set the button up to both clear and submit the form. I used the link to the folder where I wanted each completed form to be exported to, and selected "PDF the complete document" as the export format. When I complete a test submission, the document says it is looking for the App Data file path on my C drive for acrobat and requests permission. Then I get another pop up that the "PDF is attempting to Launch" the app data file and lists the file path. Then an error message comes and says the file has been moved or deleted. What Am I doing incorrectly? Is this a permissions issue on the network side of my institution for TEams?
